I watched NRL on Fox last night and Wiz was disappointed to say Stacey Jones might leave, and it'll be a huge loss to the NRL if he does.

They have got good depth, but need a player like Cleary, Campion to gain more experience, thats what took them to a grand final. They need to get more backup in the halves area.

i truly believe the Warriors will get back on its feet and get back their best.

goshies that gary freeman guy gets to me. he is such a moron when he commentates, he says one thing and 2 minutes later the exact opposite happens.

if NZ have to resort to using him as coach, they will get hammered. he basically put his hand up for the job last night 'I would love to coach NZ' - i can't believe they got him to coach nz before, he is a deadset fool.

Freeman is an imbecile of colossal proportions. There must be something foul in the water in Balmain because along with imbecile No. 2 - Benny Elias & imbecile No. 3 - Wayne Pearce, he is amongst the most cringe worthy 'specialist' football commentators I have had the displeasure of listening to.

Has anyone seen Benny Elias on SBS when he does the weekend preview of the NRL games - sheeeesh! :shock: I just cringe and think to myself, anyone who doesn't really follow League must think we're all a bunch of boof heads who've had one too many hits the cranium. Luckily no one really watches SBS :lol:

In the stupidity stakes, I'd probably say Elias is just a shade ahead of Russell Fairfax with Freeman & Pearce not far behind in a photo finish. On the other hand, the NZ commentators are so stupid they wouldn't even make it to the race...

That is the right of all paying Football supporters, no matter what the code. Let me say that I don't think the fans are booing the players as such. More the fact that they are frustrated by the way the current Eels management from the Board to the Coach have let this club slip into it's embarrassing state it's currently in.

They are booing the coach, who over the past 6 years have let go of players like Clinton Shifcofske, Brett Hodgson, Willie Tonga, Stuart Kelly, Casey McGuire, Chad Robinson, Ben Galea, Jason Smith, Ian Hindmarsh, Jason Cayless, Brad Drew, PJ Marsh, Andrew Ryan, Kane Cleal (who followed his dad who left the club after having a blue with Smith & took his son with him) Michael Hodgson, Joel Clinton & the list goes on & on...

Galea did play up until Premier League or the then First division here before he moved to Balmain in 98 - Smith said he wasn't big enough to play first grade- Same as John Wilson however John did play one game in first grade.

You cannot claim him as a player you have lost BECAUSE he was not a developed first grader..

Your issue is about player retention and recruitment rather then development. He played his way through the grades under coaching from the Parramatta club hence he was developed to a standard where he could play first grade but did not play at Parramatta......however he was not retained.

Someone like Dene Halatau who played Harold Matthews for Parramatta and then went to the Tigers SG Ball and onwards was developed by the Tigers.
