Ah well, we were missing Watmough, Lyon, Stewart, Stewart, Perry, Williams, Rodney and Le Strange

thats 8 of our starting 17

Now i know saints were missing plenty as well, but still u cant take much from the result (the same as if Manly had won)

Don't think it's happened since Dessi has been in charge, but I could be wrong.
I was grateful for the win against the Dog's last week because I thought we might struggle against the Dragons, but not by that much.

It's happened since Dessie has been around, several times I think.

Either way that was f*cking woeful. We had a chance to push them at 30-18 and fell asleep.

B.Stewart
Lyon
D.Williams
Perry
G.Stewart
Watmough
Rodney
Le'Strange

If it was any other team we may have gone close, I still hope Dessie unleashes hell in the sheds.

Dragons were also missing 7 of their best 17.

Boyd, Creagh, Prior, Weyman, Poore, Costigan, Smith

Manly were just outplayed by a team that has more depth.

It's at least the 10th time since Des has been in charge, 04/05 were pretty poor years, last time was last year when we lost to Souths before the magnificent run started.

It was always going to be hard to get up again after the great game last week on top of missing a few.

Uhh, hello
Read my post again, i acknowledged that the Dragons were missing heaps and obviously we were outplayed im just saying you cant read to much into the result as both teams bear little resemblence to what we will be seeing come finals time

I think this loss has given the club a good reality check, losing a game especially by 30 is never a good thing, but it could be a blessing in disguise just like Rabbits last year, though if we do lose to the Sharks this week I think fans should be a little concerned.

Hi Disco,

I agree, can't read too much into the game and would have been great to see most players in their respective sides. May well happen later in the year.

Also agree with "stinkypete", Farrah did indeed have a great game and was a huge thorn in the side of the Saints.

It was a very disappointing result for Manly. It got hard for me to watch.

They have dropped out of the 8 on percentages. Hopefully after the origin series we will string some wins together and gather some momentum into the finals.

I kind of expected it.We fell over the line against the raiders and the dragqueens are are much better side even with their withdrawals. Not overly worried though we were 2 from 8 at one stage to make the eight will be a bonus.I like the idea of eighth and a potential rematch.
