Now that would be suprizing

That would mean one of two things;

Two of the backs are injured, with Mortz moving up to 5-8 or Half and Lasalo in the team or

Mortz is stays on the bench (or drops off for Kinga) plus an injury to the backs with Lasalo moving up.

But if it is true and another debuton in so many weeks, we are actually performing better than we should IMO

For an ordinary half, Robson is a good defender. It's the only reason he has a blue and gold jumper ahead of a young rookie.

Well Ben Smith played for Wenty, however i think it was stated that Mortimer will start in the halves and that would probably push Joel Reddy back to the centres replacing Ben Smith. Unless we have one other player in our backline injured i highly doubt he will get the call up.

Last weeks the same thing was stated and Mortz didnt even run out, so It would not surprise me if the same was to happen or he was letf on the bench. With Benny playing for the Magpies it would suggest to me that we might actually see a new debuton this week with TT also in some doubt apparently.

I actually hope that Kinga is given a go at halfback throughout the game, he is a very good player IMO and would be better suited then Robson because his kicking and passing games are much better, plus he is a very good defender. I think Robson could add more preasure to Mortz (playing 5-8 outside him) because he takes to many wrong options.

I sent Taniela a message asking him if he was playing tonight and he replied with 'maybe, you will have to wait and see';-)

just got a bit of a tip...

TL = second row.

So... we're looking at:

1. Burt
2. Uaisele
3. Tautai
6. Reddy
5. Grothe
14. Mortimer
7. Robson
8. Cayless
9. Keating
10. MoiMoi
11. Hindmarsh
19. Lasalo
13. Lowrie (!)

18. Kingston
15. Cordoba
16. Mannah
12. Gulavao
20. Latimore

according to the Wenty game etc!

No disrespect to Cordoba - but I hope Latimore gets his second game ahead of Cordoba in this one.

Why would they move Lasalo into the backrow, I just dont understand he is a NYC centre. I would Imagine TT would move into the backrow (at the expence of Lowrie) and Lasalo would take his place in the centres.

He played a few games in the toyota cup at second row last year before being shifted to the centres. I personally think second row is his best position

I wont disagree, but simple fact is that he isnt phisically developed to play in the backrow yet. Guys like SBW, Criegh, Idris all start in the centres and moved (or will move) into the backrow progressivly. If we want a backrower I think guys like Robenson, Horo and Wright would be better options (unless ofcourse this was due to an injury which occured today after the Wenty played)

I can't see how Wright would be a better second row option?

But hey - Stagger got the tip that he'd be in the second row, not me! I was just compiling all the information that's been coming to light about the team over the last few hours.

Lasalo in the second row is an easier "in" to first grade in some ways - playing in the centers he could get isolated 1 on 1, whereas in the pack he can still run the ball wide of the ruck, and has Hindy and Lowrie next to him to make the tackles.

I guess we'll see if he even plays!

Im not critising you, just more bemused... somtimes coachs will name a player in a position to cover an injury (i.e in the secondrow) and they actually line up in another poition (like the centres) with another player moving into that position. I would think it would make more sence to bring TT into the backrow and have TL move into the centres but liek you say only time will tell.

I'm with you there!

All that other 'team sheet' is doing is compiling the rumours and innuendo that have been swirling about!

Never been hanging out for a clash against the last placed team so much before!
If we win this one it really gives us an opportunity to start turning the season around a little bit.
