In the latest news wests tigers trained today at glenbrook, the training included on the agenda was conditioning and strength.which was very Vigorous.the noted player thats coming along better than expected and is roughly 3 weeks ahead of schedule was todd payten on his foot injury which is great as we are playing widnes in a trial at the end of january.in other news darren senter has just been told he is the club captain but there is still speculation on who the team captain is going to be with either senter, prince, o'neill and sattler as the 4 contenders for the job.the centre positions will be fought out mainly by elford, buettner, fitzhenry and halatau with john wilson used for versatility. benji has settled in his temporary abode quite comfortably and is currently looking for a little car to run around in. as he is sick of copping lifts all the time to and from training especially when he is on the upper northshore.the good thing as ive stated before is that the vibe is good and unlike other years there are no smart pretty remarks made whilst the coach is speaking.
every one is training fine and is bulking up great the sour news was that one of our players injured his back whilst training and has a slipped disc which will see him out for a month.i would rather not mention who the player is at this stage as saying who would only disrupt team training with nosy reporters wanting to know this or that. but he will be ready for kick off 2004.
cheers max ;-)
