They haven't.

How many times do I have to say it?

I hate to say this but he was given permission to talk to certain clubs (or should I say clubs the raiders think have no chance in gaining his services) as long as he asks the Raiders first - this permission was given to him on the 26th

Can you provide a link?

H the No.9 and if that does'nt work we will look at purchasing the likes of Michael Ennis who is a great hooker who is 20 year's old from Newcastle who is only kept out of first grade by Buderus.
.

Michael Ennis yesterday met the Dragons and will hold talks with Brisbane after rejecting offers from Souths and Wests Tigers.- SMH

There are alot of Morrison fans around here right? :p hum well anyway

Lock Glenn Morrison yesterday met Parramatta and Wests Tigers  SMH

Raiders re-sign rookie Carney
Rugby league By Peter Fitzgerald
Thursday, 1 July 2004

"Monaghan, on the other, is still yet to re-sign with the Raiders, but yesterday gave the strongest indication yet that he would be with the side for the next few years.

The club's leading try-scorer this year and last admitted he would be prepared to accept less money in Canberra if that's what it would take for him to be able to remain with the Raiders.

Monaghan has been linked with five other NRL clubs, but hasn't been able to field offers as the Raiders refused to give him permission to discuss his future elsewhere before the competition's anti-tampering deadline.

That deadline, however, ended at midnight.

"I sat down and had a good think about everything and am pleased to say [my manager and I] are having a meeting with the Raiders [today]," he said. "I would take less to play here. It's not all about money but an enjoyable future.

"I've been in Canberra for 22 years - I couldn't just turn my back on it." "

Your sources are wrong. Move on.

Brundi, you got your info wrong, he's been out testing the market and has had meetings with 4-5 NRL clubs including manly who he met on tuesday, has also talked to the tigers and roosters amongst others.

I don't think any of us would be in shock.

I think disappointed would be the word.

Officially, the club has NOT allowed him to talk, so if he has, then he's done the wrong thing.

I still don't see a link to anywhere confirming your allegations.

As a result, I'll stick to what I believe is the truth.

His manager Banghan has even said he was putting extra paper in his fax machine for Thursday morning.

He's been in Canberra all week rehabbing his injury.

Do you think the Raiders wouldn't notice that he's left for Sydney to talk to other clubs when he's not allowed to?!?

Give yourself a triple and stop spreading lies.

As far as I'm aware Manly and the Roosters where advised to Joel as no go territory and he advised this to be a very stiked warning as well!
However once again the Tigers, Storm and Warriors where deemed to be ok to field a "Table offer" to try and see if the Raiders would need to up the anti on their offer - Going from what I have been advised the clubs didn't seek the approval Joel and his manager did thats why the Wests Tigers are the only ones to field a "Table offer" and nothing further as of last night!

This has been clarified today by Lavers, Noyce and Sheens today and they stand by this on the provision that a copy of a table offer was presented to the Raiders at 1st hand - I do know that the Tigers did verify this with the Raiders and did get a clearance letter from the NRL before they held any form of discussions with Joel and his manager.

Sheens has spoken to Joel about the move and does think we have a better chance of him moving to the Tigers than him staying with the Raiders so I guess time will tell

i hope your right mighty, we just lack that finsher in the team

So do I but I realistically think he won't be at the Tigers next season and that instead we will get someone like Donald although Joel does want to play in the centres and well we have offered him a centre spot with his name on it so who knows

Keep up the good work, MT!

*I think its called an expression of interest. Clubs can advise managers that they are interested in the managers player....and managers can advise players, but that was it until this morning.

The implication from the original post was that Joel was wandering around talking to the clubs himself, which he clearly wasn't.
