I hear that we have some cash to spare.

If this is true, they should be going straight for Lautiti.Exactly the kind of impact player that we need.

Cheers.

No question he'd be a very handy addition, but he would do zip, zero, and zilch for the Tigers main problem (i.e go forward). It just ain't his game. He lurks out wide. If the team isn't going forward though his effectiveness drops dramatically. So it's hard to say how hard to go after him.

That said - my money would be on a Wigan or Bradford. He'd bust Super League to shreds, and earn twice what he could get in Australia.

The chances are so minimal that discussing it is a pointless exercise

Whats up your bum

The way i see it he has 4 choices England,Union, retirement or the NRL,if he chooses the NRL we probably have a better than 1 in 14 shot at his signature, hardly minimal :D

Exactly the player you don't want. It would be just like Wests to pick up a player huge on talent, low on consistency. To be honest it doesn't help out shortcommings up front and I can't see the man regaining his form until he gets his head sorted out. The Warriors are managed by some shrewd heads (ie the Watsons) - the player would not have been released on personal grudges - methinks there are some personal problems with the player and as such do we really want to waste our cash here or keep it for when Marshall, Farah & co become top first grade prospects and be able to keep these guys in the colours. I'm sure Sheens sees it the same way though - he seems to be adverse on shelling out top money for out of form players.

let Souths throw 250k per season at him

Sorry mate,I could not disagree more.We are lacking in offloads and impact in the backrow.....Lauititi is in the top ten for most metres per run and offloads in a team that is at the bottom of the table.

I couldnt think of anything better than having a bloke that can bust out wide and offload.......we are soooo short on both.

Sign him up please........

the moment i read the paper this morning i was like "we need him". He may not be the answer to all our problems but he sure would ease some of the pain. I have been a fan of his and would love to see him as a tiger, it is a shame whats happening at the Warriors at the moment, they have some great players.

So if he chooses NRL we are a one in six chance to sign him,i hope we go hard because if we sign Lauititi we will have a pack to match the best of them ;-)

13-Sattler
12-Laffranchi
11-Lauititi 8)
10-Skando
9-Farah/Senter
8-Payten

Thats a top 6 pack imo ;-)

I did read the reason he was released was that he had expressed a lack of desire to win premierships as his gals had changed. If that is the truth, I wouldn't want him.

However, I think that if i was a player who wanted out of a club because I was unhappy I would say something along those lines.

That is a gun pack.Very nice mix of workers, beef and offload-ability.
Definite top 8 style pack IMHO.

Exactly why would you want a problem player. Look at what happened at the initial start-up of the club. Too many Brain melts and unfortunately at the moment his heart isn't in = brain melt. We want professional players like Sattler & Graham who will introduce work ethic into the club. That will rub off on the younger players. We were never going to win the premiership this year and it is all amount building the club up not short-term solutions
