Considering he was hit by a bus last week, then had to play fullback today on top of playing halfback too....I'd be blowing pretty hard too and feeling somewhat slo-mo
I always think tagive will drop the pill....he makes me nervy

The point is, if you`re not 100% why play ?

For those bagging KG, he always gets the ball one out and is expected to make inroads which he is doing, what more do you want ? What other props out there would receive every posession one out like KG does and do any better ?

The problem is that we can't put it down to a one off mistake. It is well-known that both players are weak in that respect and nothing appears to have changed over the off-season.
I know Lawrence is only young but he has had decent first grade experience (albeit moving between positions) yet he still appears as clueless as ever when the opposition run a simple switch or decoy play.

Well why not play him on the wing in defence, but centre in attack ?

I still see shades of Kafusi when he runs the ball. There's not much attempt at ball security.

In defence he gave away a few penalties with a lazy high shot and the other was for laying around the ruck I seem to remember.

Oh well, we have plenty of other slow learners at the club so if he can address these areas for improvement within a season he's doing better than most.

No...I think the point is hes doing the job of two men.

no complaints here.

He has the physique and the intuitiveness to suggest that he'll eventually be a rock in defense but at the moment the poor bugger is coming up empty more often than not.

The only problem I foresee is that when Benji comes back and presuming that Sheens persists with playing him on the wing we could be 'shielding' two liabilities out wide. I would ultimately love to see one of the two at fullback although that's not to say that Hodgo isn't giving his all atm.

1. Benji Marshall
2.Dene Halatau (defend in the centres)
3.Dean Collis
4.Chris Lawrence (defend on the wing)
5.Taniela Tuiaki
6.John Morris
7.Matthew Head

14.Peni Tagive (to come on at certain stages letting either Tuiaki or Halatau move into the forwards)

Lawrence
Tuiaki
Morris
Head

14. Halatau (comes on at centre, Lawrence to wing, Tuiaki to forwards)

Agree with the Morris bagging, he was truely awful yesterday.
Agree that Lawerance's defence is horrible.

Could not disagree more with the Keith Galloway bagging. He was outstanding yesterday and has been all 3 games, he's reguraly carrying 3 defenders an extra few metres after initial contact .. He will be in the #10 all year.

He tackles everything too.
