LAZARUS SET TO MISS SEASON Wests Tigers full-back Blake Lazarus will undergo knee surgery on Thursday, February 19.
Blake suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee during Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers trial against Cabramatta on Saturday night. Scans today revealed the full extent of the injury.
He is expected to be out for the season.
It is the same knee injury that sidelined him for the season after round four of the Toyota Cup last year.
It is a devastating injury for Blake, said Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell.
He had been training well in the pre-season and was part of our full-time NRL squad.
We are sure that with Blakes determination and first class attitude that he can make a successful comeback from the injury.
