But irrespective of whether we think they're arrogant we English fans certainly do respect them for what they've done in the game. As such we're always the first to appalud them for their achievements.

However, with respect to murali and Aussies, its not so much that you dont like him but more the fact that many of you have a disturbing, nasty, classless hate for him. Hillbilly, yokel type hate (which gets pt on display after a few beers at the MCG and Sydney tests). And consequently many of you would be utterly incapable of even putting that aside for one moment if he were to break the record.

:lol: indeed - what people seem to miss is that statistics are an pretty accurate representation of performances((especially when you've played 100+ tests), and for all the whinging about doctored wickets and playing weak opposition if you take a quick look at their records side by side, Murali's stacks up very well against any opposition in any country...
