Oh, one more thing. To avoid one team getting the home advantage, we'll be using the new feature where you can play at someone else's stadium. I haven't used it myself yet, but it should be easy enough to figure out how to do it. Probably best to keep it in Oceania so that you don't have to pay the $12k for overseas. Except that will mean that Drexciya would have to pay the $12k every week, so if he wants he can have about half of his games in England.

Maddy Doggy, I will make this a sticky amigo......when does this start, Tuesday week??? If so, I can't confirm (although I'm 95% sure I'll be knocked out) that I will lose in the Oceania cup tomorrow so do I just postpone my matches till I am knocked out? Ta

It starts Wednesday week, so after the upcoming friendlies tomorrow is when you should challenge your first opponent.

Chile, if you do win your Oceanian Cup game tomorrow then you might have to forfeit your LU Cup matches until you can start. There's only 11 weeks until the Oceanian Cup starts again next season, so there won't be time to play any postponed fixtures after the LU Cup finishes.

That'd be cool.

Actually...maybe it won't be. I've just realised that the home team advantage isn't necessarily when you play at your stadium, it's when you play in your state. So if a Qld team and a NSW team were to play at my stadium, the Qld team would still get a home ground advantage. And of course, most of us in the LU Cup will be from Qld or NSW.

But this also means that if two teams from the same state face each other, they can play at one of their stadiums and both teams will still get the home ground advantage.

So basically, if two teams from the same state play each other then you can play anywhere you want. Either both teams will get the home ground advantage if you play in that state, or neither will if you play somewhere else. But if two teams from different states face each other, then you'll have to play in, not only a neutral stadium, but also a neutral state. If you've already sent the challenge for this week then don't worry about it, just keep it in mind for the future.

i spose it'd be alright to play a nsw v nsw friendly anywhere in nsw, wouldnt it?

i was thinking of using heathcotes home ground to host my game with avalon.
i'll just go ahead and do it anyways. nsw derby, does that count in friendlies. so there wouldnt be a home ground advantage.

playing at rockhampton, it said although madtown in the official home team, crowd was supporting sri lanka..

well i challenge it anyways.

That's correct. You could even use your own home ground and it would still be an equal advantage if both teams are from that state.

Hopefully Mr Charisma accepts my challenge soon, because with my trainees that are future U20 hopefuls I simply can't risk losing training.
