Great Lebanon team, though interesting to see Robbie Farrah in the team after representing NSW this season. The team could look like this:

1. El Masri
2. Robinson
3. Barakat
4. Salem
5. Saleh
6. Nicholas
7. Farrah
8. Deeb
9. Ndaira
10. Farrah
11. Moujalli
12. Saffy
13. Koborsi

Ndaira played halfback for them last year and has been playing halfback for Kurri most of this year. Don't know why they wouldn't stick with him in the 7 - especially since he was man of the match in many of their games last year, including the one against Wales I think.

farah will hopefully be in the australian squad. its an absolute farce if he plays for lebanon. have we learnt anything from 2000. i think we're getting worse.

as a positive though, it is good to see a number of domestic players in the lebanese squad. a real national team must include a number of players produced domestically, it seems they are doing this. they certainly have come along way since 2000, im not having a go at them. it is more the rlif/arl who allow countries such as lebanon to even contemplate picking a robbie farah who plays for nsw and hopes to play for australia.

Unfortunately, this is the mess of International Rugby League. Until the game gets wider recognition world wide and these developing nations come through and start becoming competitive, this sort of thing will always happen. I am pretty sure Farah will get selected for the Australian Squad, but playing for the country you want to play for and represent should be the underlying reason for choosing that country, none of this swapping and changing bullsh*t. Players should stick to the country they WANT to play for but as always if a better opportunity arises to play for a stronger nation, then thats their choice, even though the choice to play for the developing nation could have much bigger implications in the long run...

I know people who are only quarter Lebanese (which is the minimum requirement to play for Lebanon under the GP rule) and three-quarters anglo-saxon who look more Lebanese than Saffy.

Believe me, there are plenty of Lebanese people that look nothing like a stereotypical Middle Eastern person. For example, my friend is 1/4 Scottish 3/4 Lebanese, and he looks so Anglo...
