as a positive though, it is good to see a number of domestic players in the lebanese squad. a real national team must include a number of players produced domestically, it seems they are doing this. they certainly have come along way since 2000, im not having a go at them. it is more the rlif/arl who allow countries such as lebanon to even contemplate picking a robbie farah who plays for nsw and hopes to play for australia.

Tony Smith comes out in favour of nation hopping in this week's RLE. He sees the fact that Australia pick players like Hayne and Jennings, who had the benefit of playing in the WC, as a distinct advantage. Instead of trying to close the door on nation hopping TS wants to get a piece of the action and is actively encouraging it.

I saw that, it makes me sad.

farah will hopefully be in the australian squad. its an absolute farce if he plays for lebanon. have we learnt anything from 2000. i think we're getting worse.

I think some times when we see these names included in train on squads, its more of a hopeful call out to the player in question.

Disgraceful!

If we end up with a squad containing Fa'asavalu, Carvell, Brough, Harrison and whoever else then I won't be going to the games. F*ck that!

How can Lebanon picking someone who has already played for Lebanon be an absolute farce?

Austen scored 8 tries last year for Serbia U18's (3 v Ireland,m 1 v Euro celts and 4 v scotland) and another one for Serbia senior side in Euro Med Challenge v Russia. His scorecard explain how he played. He is one of the first overseas players who confirmed that he'll play this year in European cup.

If anything it's a farce if he plays for Australia

he played for lebanon when it was a team of aussies playing with their mates, similar to the australian italian team. they are an established test team now. he has never played test footy for anyone, wants to play for australia, and should play for australia. but yes, if he played for lebanon this year he should not be allowed to switch to australia. however, this is rugby league which is run by idiots.

Mannah brothers are not going considering Johhny Health.

Jarrod Saffy is injured and isn't travelling.

Robbie I think will go if he doesn't make Australia. Hazem, I think wants to play one game and thats it but doubt he will.

Charlie Farah had to pull out due to injury i think.

Anthony Farah and Nathan Dib are injured as well.

Really good chance for them to blood a a number of young players like Ahmad Ellaz, Liam Ayoub, Josh Mansour and anyone else they mgiht of called up.

Im guessig Ali Hijazi would have been called up to the squad
