Lebanon will play Cook Islands in Sydney in this year's post season international schedule.

This has been revealed by Lebanon RL, with an article to posted on www.lebrl.com in the coming days.

Assuming Aus based players will be selected, what will the teams look like, and what score are we expecting?

Think the cooks should be too strong for them, be a good game though!

In other news Tonga have announced they won't be playing and end of season international after all... Shock!

I reckon this match should be repercharge WC qualifier. The Cooks should have to beat someone to qualify for the World Cup and if they cant beat Lebanon they dont deserve to be there.

They're hardly going to change the line up now.

This is just more evidence that the game is run poorly.

But wait, there's more
RUGBY League in Sydney will not finish with the grand final.
A week later, at 3pm on October 7 at The Crest in Bass Hill, the Cook Islands will take on Lebanon in a full international.
The makeup of the teams is not yet known but NRL players eligible for the Cooks include Newcastle's Zane Tetevano, Gold Coast's Dominic Peyroux and Penrith's Geoff Daniela.
LRL official Remond Safi has flown out from Beirut to supervise preparations as well as age group trials for the Cedars' junior national teams.

If Cook Is. Bring Ford, John, Lulia etc from the northern Hemisphere they will win easy. If not Lebanon are a chance. Even a NSW Cup quality team would be too strong if the Cooks aren't close to full strength

What in 2009?
Yeah, for some reason people like to argue that CI's place is deserved because they did alright in the 2009 Pacific Cup, despite the fact that it wasn't designated in any way as a RLWC Qualifying tournament and to my knowledge they haven't played a match since.

Coz the kiwis were meant to play them in the cook islands last year but pulled out at the last minute coz too many players were unavailable- it was a poor effort, we still could've sent a decent enough team.

Lebanon beat Ireland and Italy in the 2009 European Cup. If they say Cook Islands deserve to be there because of their performance in 2009 then I do not see why Lebanon weren't automatically qualified either.
