I think it's great to see him come back to Rugby League, i hate seeing good young players lost to the game so i hope he does well on his return.

Hopefully this sill show youngsters that Union is a different game to league.
You play league growing up and get a certain skill set.
You then go to Union and you don't use half of your skills, and you need to learn more, and your body shape is wrong etc.

If you have had a long career in League and want a pay day or new challenge (and your as good as Robinson) then go for it.

Yes mate there is a press conference today at Leeds where hopefully it will be announced that he has returned to the greatest game.

Must say i am surprised he only lasted five months in union though.

Outstanding news. He is an awesome talent and I was bitterly disappointed when he left the game. Straight back into a three and a half year deal too, so he obviously serious about the return. Great, great news.

He needs to be playing fullback regularly though cos thats his best position, Webb has been woeful for Leeds this season but there is no way McLennan will drop him. Looks like he will play on the wing v Bradford.

Haha, there's something dodgy about all this.

Lee Smith regretted leaving Leeds from the moment he signed the contract. You could tell after the GF that he was dissapointed to be leaving.

Over the last month Leeds' injuries have started to mount leaving us playing our 4th choice winger for the next 2 months.

Leeds search the Market and sound out a short term deal for Smithy but wasps turn it down saying he is at a critical learning stage.

A few days later Lee Smith hands in a request to be released due to family reasons and that he's too far from home.

In the same day this happens he signs back for us.

I reckon Hetherington told him last week that if he can get out of his contract he'd be back playing for his hometown team in a flash.

Anyway I welcome him back and I'm really looking forward to the game now. All of a sudden we look pretty strong. I agree he's a quality FB and he would be my FB next year but ATM we are short on wingers so he will be there until Donald gets back. TBF I think Donald may struggle to get back in when fit too.

that's great news for leeds, he has been 1 of there best players in there hot run of the last 3 years. and interesting that shane tronc is comin back to Australia good signing for the broncos they have a very young and inexperienced pack, but wakefield are getting the better end of the stick with ashton sims IMO..

Smith scored two tries on his return in the 20 all draw, no mistakes and looked good in general.

Leeds need him at the moment, the team is a mess.

At least Sinfield is back

I would like to see the Rhinos start Sinny at hooker and use Diskin off the bench. Buderus dosen't look interested at all and is offering very little.

Sinfield looked well suited to hooker when playing for England.

I don't recall Sinfield playing hooker in the 4N's? Only a matter of time Bedsy leaves and comes back to the NRL IMO, he has been a starter his whole career so it would have been a massive dent to his ego to have to come off the bench and only play up to 30min a game.

Are you serious about not remembering Sinfield at hooker??? Seriously???

He almost single handedly got England to the final with his performance against the Kiwis.

Anyway, about Smith. Pure class tonight. If he was on the wing against the storm we win ;)

seriously though the 2 finishes were top class, especially the 2nd. Welcome home Lee, we've missed you.

My bad, still think that for the Rhinos he should be a loose forward.

Great to see him back. Surely Leeds will play him at Fullback next year, it's his best position IMO.

Just watched the Rhinos v Bulls game again and the finish by Smith for the try to level things up was superb.

Dave Halley also scored a fantastic wingers try in the first half for the Bulls, great to see .
