Yeah I noticed that too. Fui was doing alot of tackling and he doesn't appear as lazy as in past years.

JoeG also shows the commitment.

Lowrie and Oake also tries hard but they are just not NRL standard.

Yesterday showed that Hindy is still our best player by a mile, was watching the game with a mate and he said the same thing "You can tell Hindy is not out there.. And besides Fui,KK and Mateo the rest weren't out there either.......

You know what the thing with Parra to me is?
Remember last year when you played the Panfers at Penriff and were down 26-8 and in the second half you went bang bang bang and surpassed Penriff with 3 tries in 5 minutes?
It's in you.
That's still in you.

Just go back to basics.
Ball control for f*ck sake.
Don't try to be too flashy out of dummy half.
Go forward with your 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13 before you get creative with 9.
9 is trying to do too much in my opinion.

Do the basics right. go back to basics.
You're panicking so early in the season already.
The seasons only started. Relax and enjoy your games.
With time comes results.
Keep trying.
But lower it a gear.
You're trying to play higher than your expectations based on Inu, Hayne and Mateo's previous explosions from 2 years ago.
They're not living up to that style today as it's took its toll.

Want my opinion? Get rid of Cayless. He's tired.
There's a start.

Very true!

Move along buddy. No room for intelligent and knowledgeable posts 'round these parts. ;-)

add weller too - he may have scored 2 tries but he equally played a big part in letting in 2 soft tries in also :?

here here.

Also Matt Keating needs to run more from dummy half. The few times he did he looked good. Hes too predictable

The irony of wanting to keep it simple is that this is what Hagan tried to install in the side last year.

Did no good

Well, I don`t know. I listened to the game on the radio, and there wasn`t much talk about Parramatta not trying. Certainly not in the first half. And then I watched the game on Fox, and I gotta say, I thought they were trying. Hayne always looks laid back. That`s his way. Same with Inu. Lowrie tried his guts out. He may not be up to first grade, but he tried. Inu is definitely lacking confidence, but is starting to improve. (I didn`t like the way Anderson publicly knocked him.) Cayless was terrific in the first half. Burt had his best game in ages. We were in it for a very long time. We just became dispirited at the end. We were without our very best player; and Canterbury are a VERY good side at the moment. In fact, we`ve had a horror run so far, apart from Souths and Canberra (who played exceptionally well that night). I think the team just lacks two things:
1. Confidence.
2. One or two champion players to explode the whole side. We just don`t have a very good line-up. Apart from about four or five players, we have a team of very good reserve-graders. That`s not their fault. They try hard. That`s the fault of the ridiculous recruitment and retention policy this club has had for the past ten years. We won`t get out of it overnight - but we WILL get out of it.
