Leichhardt Oval - is it really that good?

Only 17,000 there tonight on a perfect winters night to watch the two combatants who fought out the 2005 GF. What more can a fan ask for?

I say take the game away from this dump of a ground. No parking, stands falling apart, wet backside from sitting on the grass, or splinters from the 1920 'seats'. No thanks - sorry Leichhardt you've had your time in the sun, its now time to be put out to pasture.

Fair enough, dump of a ground, no parking, stands falling apart, wet backside from sitting on the grass, or splinters from the 1920 'seats' and STILL brings in a big, vocal, passionate crowd on a Monday night vs and interstate team. Wish i could of been there tonight, just watching on TV really made me proud to be a Balmain boy. :)

Nice attempt there Spot. But what's your other name on this board?

Mate, one alias is enough for me. Two would be downright confusing.

Furthermore, good to see they let the residents of Rozelle's famous mental facility free entry tonight. I always knew the Tiges were charitable

Lucky we only play three games a year there, the playing surface looked a bit shabby. Maybe if council spent less money on lattes and more on parks & gardens, things would be different

Yeah it looked terrible.
The team looked like they hated playing there
17,000 against a team with 2 fans, off 2 losses, on a mon night having to contend with peak hour sydney traffic to get there. It's a very unpopular venue obviously
We should play all 12 games at looomeah and average 11,000 and win 3 home games with our imposig 34% campbelltown win ratio
You speak a lot of sense

Look I'd be happy to give one game to Bluetongue, but yeah, the rest at Dodge International Stadium works for me

Not to mention loooomeah is so much more accessible for everyone. A mere hour down the freeway and a nice shlep back on a Sunday arvo contending with the spastics who went for Devonshire tea at picton

It's a myth that the team goes better at Leichhardt.
They really save their best for Looomeah
Hope we can get 14,000 against soufs
Imagine if it was at loomeah .. we'd get 14,500 easy

f**k, if I only had $1 for every tosser we had supporting us....

You'd be joining me at the Ashfield RSL for the famous $1 lunch. I'll let you keep your dollar if you give me mine.

Deal.

I've seen the sign many times, but never been tempted.

If it costs a buck, it isn't from an animal I'd normally eat....
