Bloke is a beast, one of the most overlooked signings this year but IMO is up there with the best signings of 2013. 160 tough hard metres and 14 tackle breaks against a renowned defensive centre in Will Chambers.
1 to 5 is this the best backline we've had in 10+ years?

He's had a great year and i was always stoked with his signing - he's been a monster centre for 3 years now and he is only 21. He just blows Sau away for ability and shows what we were missing having a true centre out on the left for Jimmy. Gagai and him feed of each other, almost like they want to see who can make the toughest metres.

This backline is right up there with our 99-02 days. Only Johns tips it in the formers favour IMO.

An all time Knights side in a few years may very well read...

1. O'Davis
2. Tahu
3. Gidley/Leulia
4. Gagai
5. Uate
6. Mullen
7. Johns

It's the best backline in the NRL right now, I reckon. I'm struggling to think of when we had a more all round quality backline. Sure, we've had the Gidleys and Tahus out there - but they've often been partnered with Carmonts and Ryders and Halls.

only 21 , wow this guys going to be good. He's physic is intimidating and brutal v Gagai who is a beautiful fluent runner of the ball with great foot work , both future SOO and Aust stars....I'm stoked with our back line . hope we keep them all.

2001 was probably the best we've had IMO
1.Robbie O
2.Tahu
3.Gidley
4.Hughes
5.Mad Dog

Though those blokes were probably made to look better than they actually were due to the Joey factor. The current mob are only going to get better with time, Jimmy is the oldest member of the backline and he's only 27 and just had his best year.

Stat wise they are the second best behind Manly, but that will change next year.

Average age is 24 , so theyre yet to hit their prime.

Shoutout to Kev to who has been brilliant everytime we've called upon him, shame to lose him but he is far too good to be a backup. If for whatever reason Uate or McManus left us a couple of years back kev would have stepped up and been a part of this awesome backline.

People bag out our teams age but 1-7 is quite young, Snowden is 26 which isn't old for a prop, Rochow and McKinnon are youngsters who look like they could be 200 gamers in the backrow. If some of the younger guys in NSW cup like Sims and Toka Likiliki realise their potential this team can be competitive for a while yet

He has been awesome , I had no doubt he would do the job tonight, wasnt nervous at all by his inclusion. He will step up at the Panthers next year.

I think he's the best centre in the game at gaining tough metres. Coming out of our end he seems to regularly break the first tackle, and then keep driving through the tackle when he's been wrapped up to gain a few more metres, land on his stomach and get a quick play-the-ball.

It gets the opposition back-peddling and gives us great momentum.

And McManus would prob be the best winger at the same thing.

To think the Roosters let him go to sign Jennings. All over a photo! I notice the naysayers are yet to man up and say they got it terribly wrong regarding Joey.

We knew this was a kid with potential. I remember the start of his career, shocking, but as soon as his attitude went up, so did his potential. Great kid, it's all there for him to play for come Saturday.,

I love his work, but I didnt like the way he reacted to the McKinnon hit on McLean..... I know he is intense, but that crosses a line for me.

However, if this is the biggest problem we have with him we are in a great position.

Got the game tape? Have a look at what he does whilst the guy is unconscious on the ground. It was unnecessary and could have cost us a penalty if the blow up got out of control.

Again, if my biggest complaint is his intensity, we have nothing to worry about.

I liked it, games gone too soft for my liking. Not nice to see a kid get his jaw busted up, but this is professional sport with a lot on the line. Our team just copped a terrible decision and we have a pack of hard nut 'thugs' in Scott, Smith, Mason, Fa'alogo, Costigan and McKinnon. They needed a rev up against the adversity. I hope if someone lays out a rooster next week someone stands over them and gives them a spray.
