Test Drive had a great theme http://youtu.be/qAj1jPvz8t8

The entire soundtrack to Spy vs Spy was awesome
NES: http://youtu.be/V-VGgJ06rYk
Atari: http://youtu.be/RBJn3SHfDyY

You would like this video, "The evolution of PC Audio" http://youtu.be/a324ykKV-7Y

Lost Dutchman Mine had a good chiptune but all I can find is an Amiga longplay: http://youtu.be/0cCuhpUiN98

Dead Ops Arcade from BLOPS has a quality theme http://youtu.be/OVEyLYbWXiw

edit.

Mortal Kombat on PC sounds good http://youtu.be/6CnT681EzBg but nothing will ever beat the Mega Drive version http://youtu.be/8Crmrb0wBIs and The Pit stage is the best song in the entire game http://youtu.be/gfu3HUhrIj4

HOLY SH!t!!!

hahaha you werent kidding Parra... i never really played the Pokemon games so im not sure, was that supposed to sound serial killerish? lol

Lavender Town was home to a Pokemon cemetery of sorts, so I guess it was just meant to sound spooky, and it certainly accomplished that.

One thing that disappointed me was the fact that in the sequels/remakes the music lost the spookiness it had in the original Blue and Red.

Gold and Silver version
Fire Red and Leaf Green version
Heart Gold and Soul Silver version

I may or may not have every Zelda, Smash Bros and Metroid soundtrack on my PC. Maybe. I'm totally not admitting to that...

Also, check out the band Powerglove. Especially metal fans.

I totally forgot to ask anybody what i originally wanted to when i started this thread...

anybody here heard of or listen to Protomen?

They are a band out of the States who essentially make concept albums/Rock operas loosely based on the story from the Megaman series... really really awesome AWESOME stuff and i hope that in a few years when I get over to PAX they are still playing and I will get to see them.

When I used to play Gameboy, the game I absolutely THRASHED was Road rash :)

I could not get enough of this music:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4oITkCfdA0&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PLA24C0574B796B9DB

Double Dragon on Master System:

For this game, it was always a combination of hearing the final boss' music and the sound of the player dying that become customary. It was VERY HARD to finish with this game without getting hit by the bullet once resulting in an instant death.
