I'm starting to get a pretty good strike rate on sports today. I try to send my emails between 1 and 4pm during the day, and keep them to only 5 or 6 lines. He's stopped reading out the ones bagging Union, so its not worth the effort, as he only acknowledges them. But he is quite happy to read out short emails on League.

I don't need to let you guys know how important it is to get the message out that the Kangaroo Tour is a big event too.

Expose yawnion for what it is, while at the same time talking up international league which was by far more important to Aussie footy followers not so long ago. Hardly anyone cared about the Wallabies and their crap Concord Oval Tests!

Let's talk up the importance of a Roo jumper to help these media folk along!

Especially if it means stretching the truth. Old Iggy here is a regular on Uunion and it woldnt surprise me on AR's spewing crap. It just seemed very ironic that he could put down union internationals and then start a thread up trying to promote league internationals after telling us what good shape etc it is in. I don't know what you Kiwis have got so pissed off about in this thread. The origiinal post was a very good idea and similar to what I have been trying to do all month. I barely sent an email all season to the above mentioned shows but have gone beserk in the last month.

Because the tour is getting dwarfed by the hype and media spin of the Union. That simple. Sports today especially are getting pleanty of emails from league fans and not giving us our fair share of content. The print media is a thousand times worse. So keep up the fight.

Ali, if it had been any one else that hadn't been bagging another code, I would not have hassled them. In fact I probably would have talked it up.

As for the media dwarfing league, I would think that sort of makes sense ? you have something like 48 games of international union in Aus ! and a tour that is only just getting started on the other side of the world why wouldnt the media focus on an event that is happening now. I am sure once the tests arrive the media will pick up on the tour.

Plenty of league people just can't cop union and with good reason. Just because some hate union doesn't mean they despise other sports. You're on a league forum get used to pro-league, union-hating posts. It's just the nature of the beast.
