I normally hate cover versions, especially the "ironic" type. Consider it a hangover from the days when I used to think that Me First And The Gimmie Gimmies were a worthwhile addition to the musical lanscape.

But I have just realised that my three favourite tunes from 2005 are all covers:

I didn't mind the 'Flame Trees' cover....and one of those sandwhichs you speak of don't sound too bad either.
