Jacob Lillyman???

Carroll out, Lillyman in
Written by: Origin news

North Queensland's Jacob Lillyman has been called up to replace injured lock Tonie Carroll in the Queensland team for next Wednesday's second State Of Origin rugby league match in Brisbane.

A shocked Lillyman received the call-up late last night for his Origin debut after Carroll was ruled out with a knee injury. The loss of Carroll, after winger Greg Inglis was ruled out yesterday with a back injury, has further unsettled the Queensland camp.

And there could be more bad news with centre Justin Hodges missing today's official team medical to have physiotherapy on his suspect hamstring. Lillyman has been included on the interchange bench.

The Queenslanders go into camp in Brisbane today before relocating to their Sunshine Coast base at the Hyatt Regency at Coolum. They trail 1-0 in the series and a loss on Wednesday night would make Queensland the first side to lose four consecutive interstate series.

Don't see many Cowboys games to be honest, never heard of him...

tbh - I think Belly should be waiting for his call from the Qld selectors  .... after that they'll move onto the women and children

Lillyman is a good player with a good future and will play Origin alot more than Mogg will.

But the QLD selectors haven't learnt their lesson from Origin 1 by bringing in all these debutants.

A very very good player. Has had limited time on the field due to injuries.

The Colonel said:
Not too bad a player actually. Strong defender.

Fair enough, I'm not bagging him or Mogg, because that sh*t always comes back to bite and when it does it bites hard  ;-)

Thank you linesman thank you ball boys.

I do not question this boys talent but a series is on the line ffs.

Are you counting Qld selectors...we are staring down the barrel of our 4th straight series loss.

Maybe we are doing what the Blues did in the late 80's/ early 90's and building a squad for an assault over the next few years.

It's gotta be that.

Very talented young player but I think he's only had one or two games in FG this year? His QLD cup form is excellent but then again so is Shane Muspratt's, it's a HUGE step up from QLD cup to Origin.

It's almost sad to see QLD picking players like Mogg and Lillyman.

Surprised they didn't call up Shillington from the Roosters. Might figure Lillyman is a safer option as he's been around longer.

Corey Parker may even have been a better option. At least he has experience and seems to be in good form.
Oh well good luck to Lillyman anyway. Do your best mate.
