Is there a way to listen to the Referee's without the sports ears?
Maybe a special frequency or something?

They should make an IPhone App for this.

I have considered this option, but due to my other sport commitments, time doesnt allow for this.

Fox sports used to have a feature where u could block out the commentators and listen to the crown/ref. not sure if they still have it.

Make up a little wheel with various random statements (include names of players not in the game) and give it a spin every few minutes. When it goes to the video ref, flip a coin and heads means "TRY". Then spin the wheel again to hear the referee's explanation.

You'll have a deeper understanding of the game, and a more satisfying experience than if you use sports ears.

Yes there is. If you have a scanner you can pick up the frequency quite easily as its available to anyone who has a scanner.

You can also listen to the tv commentators, as well as tv directors/producers etc, security, anything you want to thats within a reasonable distance.
