The interesting thing we hear when listening to the video ref is that often the excessive number of replays is because the director isn't giving the video ref the angle he wants.

I don't think this is necessarily true. The English refs seemed to hone in on the part of the play where there was doubt, and then quickly come up with a decision.

When Perenara was video ref he spent an age f**king around and watching parts where there was no doubt at all.

The video ref should only be referred to in order to check specific things where there is doubt in the on-field ref's mind. The Aussie refs check absolutely everything and take f**king forever.
