Live 8

Watching highlights of it on Canadian TV right now. Neil Young finishd the Canadian concert, singing Keep on Rockin in the Free World with all the others on stage joining in. Old Gordon Lightfoot looks a bit out of place.

Yeah, it's called Park Place now because Molson's closed their adjacent brewery and sold the park. (Only you and I will know what I'm talking about hrundi )

It was good Live8, but I agree I wish there were better quality bands. The only decent ones were the old ones like U2, Sting, Pink Floyd, Who, Paul McCartney.

I wonder why Australia didnt have a Live8 concert? :?

I wondered that too, until someone pointed out that the concerts were held in the 8 G8 countries (USA, Britain, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Russia and Japan) as well as South Africa (in the continent which is the subject of the concerts) and Scotland, where the G8 conference is.

I watched teh highlights and thought it was great!....Great turn out at all the concerts too.

Bloody channel 9 only showed 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd. Would have killed to see them play. Couldn't give a toss about the other artists though.

Just wait for the DVD Tiger Pride, I'm sure that it will be out before too long. It will be worth it for the Floyd tracks alone. In the meantime, just put "Live in Pompei" in your DVD player and crank up the volume.
