The Living End.

I am not into that style of rock (more metal) and don't own a single cd/song but the 2 times i have seen them, damn they are good. That Chris Cheyney (or whatever his name is) has some chops. To be able to sing and play the $hit they do, talented mofo.

Mars Volta, Enmore Theatre, 2006. Seen them every time they have come out, this one was their best I think but they're always awesome.

As soon as I saw this thread I knew it had to be the Cat Empire. I've seen some terrible comparisons of what people think is live music brilliance in this thread and figure they haven't been to a live Cat Empire gig
Yes I have! They are absolutely brilliant live. Great energy.
B-52s was an experience as well.

Yep as mentioned the Living End and Cat Empire, not my favourite bands but damn they put on a good show.

Other worthy mentions, Michael Franti and Spearhead, PNAU, Architecture in Helsinki, British India, Trail of Dead, gerling, foo fighters, the Go! Team, J5, The Streets.

i went and saw KSE at the forum last night, shadows fall and devine heresy opened for them.

Was my first time seeing KSE and they were f**king awesome!!! when HOJO stage dived into the crowd i almost caught his boot to my head...

they are crack ups...good to see they can joke around and sh*t yet still pull off an awesome performance.

I was also at riverstage and that was my least preferred of their 3 gigs I've seen in my life, but it was still awesome. The first time I saw them years ago was like nothing else, and it was free of the Nova bandwagoners too which made the atmosphere even more electric.

Agreed re: the crowd. Amphitheatre at Woodford is always a good spot to see 'em ;-)

I didn't notice too many wankers around me, I was in a great place when they were on at the riverstage... out in force during the beautiful girls though (**** that band is horrible!)

I remember being under age and getting into a frenzal gig at the club mac room at the milperra campus of the uni of western sydney. They got the crowd so wound up that the ceiling got kicked in and electrical cables were hanging down over the mosh area and they had to go off early. I think it was around the time of not so tough now, before they did meet the family.
You can knock Frenzal Rhomb for not being to serious, but there shows back in the early days could get pretty wild, and they were funny as f*ck too.

Haha yeah that Rhomb story sounded familiar.

Did anyone catch Dream Theater on their recent tour? Amazing stuff, live music brilliance with ease.

Yeah, I got dragged to FH a while ago. They seem to please the 'Southern Cross' crowd with stupid songs and jumping up and down.
