Live Streaming of Games

I have been persuaded that live streaming of our games should be a higher priority than I thought.

So, what is the best way of doing it? Do people here have experience of such things?

What or who persuaded you?

The latest Italy-Russia game was reasonably well done, with commentary, multiple cameras, a score overlay and above all it was done through YouTube, so potential viewers know the quality will be good.* Perhaps ask the Italians.

Oh yeah, and Canada, though I'm not sure their broadcasts are streamed live, they are TV quality.

That would be brilliant Steve! We're looking into this too...

Apparently the key to a good stream is the wi-fi connection at the field where it's being filmed. So make sure you don't give out the password to any spectators attending that day otherwise it will ruin the whole broadcast...

Thanks! Frankly, a good wi-fi connection is our main teachnical concern.

Sponsors like it apparently. We are also looking into making more use of YouTube. It is early for us, but if we work on it now, we will be competent when the time comes.

We will, thanks. I do not want to do rubbish live streaming, so it might be just bits on YouTube for a while yet.
