Oh noes! The bad men yelled words to a man who just earned more by sitting at the set of lights than the two Scousers do in an entire month. I'm sure he's real butt-hurt.
Speaking of butt-hurt, I've never for the life of me understood why Arsenal fans are so f**king whingy about "$amir the Mercenary" and his move to City.
Sure, he's being paid more than he was, but he has joined a team that has won more in recent history than Arsenal, and are more likely to over the course of his contract.
When SWP moved to Chelsea, City fans were upset and disappointed that they lost one of their own, but could see he moved for football reasons, and were grateful for the £20m that the club desperately needed. Maybe Arse fans should feel the same way.
If he was playing a meaningful role in Citys success, he'd earn a little more respect. In the longterm if he doesn't turn things around he's ruined his career and legacy for the sake of an increased pay.
THAT is hard to digest. It's not like what we were paying forced him to get by on 2nd hand clothes. We were making him rich and he's gone elsewhere to become even RICHER and it seems like he doesn't mind a vastly reduced role.
And don't say he moved for trophies. It had nothing to do with that. United wanted him, United the reigning champs, United who actually needed a player like him to play a key role for them and not just be a fancy toy on the bench, but he rejected them because they couldn't pay what City has.
If he went to United, we wouldn't have hated him as much, if he went to City and actually played like the superstar wages he's getting, we wouldn't hate him as much, if he left us the right way, we wouldn't hate him as much.
Have a look at how the majority of us feel towards Fabregas, and how we feel towards Nasri. We're not psychotics who hate any player who dares leave us. Fabregas left the right way, he didn't leave for money and now he's an important player in the worlds best team, none of which can be said for Nasri.
