Lockyer....biggest milk ever

I could not believe that these dummies gave this dog a penalty.

If I was running the NRL i would cite Lockyer for bringing the game into disrepute for the most pathetic milking of a penalty ever.

Fair dinkum,a finger gets layed on him and he stays down for an age and milks it.......was a crucial two points as well.

In a semi.....a penalty for this is ridiculous.......in the class of a soccer milk......:crazy:

He definently milked it, but it was 100% penalty worthy.

Fairly sure you can't just go hit someone without the ball in the head for no reason.

By "head", I mean should/neck region, which refs seem to think is the head.

In the head??

Walker pushed off him to get back in the defensive line and heather threw himself to the ground like he'd been shot. It was embarrassing.

The only thing worse was when they penalised Harrison for standing his ground in the 1st half when one of the broncos forwards ran a decoy right into him and fell over while at least 4m offside.

As far as Im concerned the bloke is a cheat.....fair enough if you cop one on the dome, but to get a nudge in the chest and lay flat for a minute is pathetic,I thought he was better than that.......

he's always been a sheila

should of signed up for AFL. he'd fit in well

and Chucky says Brisbane players don't take dives. can't wait to read his anger about it seeing he is up every other player within seconds for far less

If you think he should have signed up for AFL based on that, then what sport would you sign up Jaryd Hayne to? Ballet? that might be a bit generous actually.

Your Australian captain is the greatest big game player to living today. Deal with it.

Don't take the bait from morons Bronco fans.

Funny and informative. What a thread. I now know that Walker was merely pushing himself off of Lockyer as a boost to get back to the defensive line sooner. Of course he couldn't have done this with open palms, so naturally he raised his forearm to really get a good boost. Thanks Danish.

Unfortunately for Chrissy raising your forearm and knocking down a player who doesn't even look like getting the ball is still against the rules, regardless of how soft it's deemed by forum posters who saw a long range, high angled shot on their TV.

Milking is a disturbing trend entering our game. Diving used to be confined to soccer and ozzie rules but it's really setting in inour great game. Coaches and some of hte senior players need to take a stand against it right now before it gets out of control.

I'm a great admirer of Lockyer and was really disappointed in his behaviour last night. One of he Bulldogs' ( think it was Morris) did the same thing. Got hit high, looked over to the touch judge and when he got no reaction suddenly discovered he had been "concussed" and play acted like a pansy until the penalty was awarded.

Enough of this nonsense!

That was embarrssing, and from the Australian captain no less. The refs should start penalising these divers from all teams. It's getting like soccer.

The biggest dickhead in the game runs three metres away from the ball to take out a player, whether soft or not, who didn't have the ball, didn't look like getting the ball and would not have gotten the ball on that play.

He milked it, but the penalty was more than deserved for sheer stupidity alone.

Anyway, hope the Tits fans all come in here and have a whinge about it. They'll be out soon enough.

Honestly, it's what you've got to do as captain of a finals team when it's win at all costs. There isn't a single team out there that isn't guilty of it.

If you're going to take a player out, you deserve to get penalised. Simple as that.

It's not a dive though, he was taken out.

A dive is an attempt to get a penalty when the opposition player hasn't broken the rules. A milk is different, and there isn't a team in the league that isn't guilty of it. Not milking cost the Sharks a win over Manly 2 weeks ago (and almost gave them the wooden spoon).
