Thats a silly thing to say. Comparing probably the most dangerous player in the game in 2003 to a player that put in 2 good games.
I dont think 2003 was Lockyers best season. At time I think he struggled carrying a poor Broncos side.
He was brilliant for QLD....but for Aus and the Broncos he just wasnt his same old world beating self all the time.
Wesser was. Wesser looked like a world beater from the first game of 2003 to his last.
Why doesnt Wesser deserve the award?
You cant point to his form. It was as good if not better then anyone else in the game this season.
You cant possible blame the lack of representation. After all between Chris Anderson and Wayne Bennetts stupid selection policies....great player can be left on the sideline no matter how well they are playing.
