Tariq (and majority of the other forwards in the comp) does the hard metres when they are needed and doesn't hide out in the centres and suddenly appears when the rest of the team gets them down to the opposition 20

Other forwards don't have the unique skillset Dave has. Other forwards don't have the leg speed he does, the mobility, the kicking game. So obviously he'll have a different style.

Sandow was there superhero in the leadup to the finals last year, he could do no wrong, he was the man, the saviour, the shining light!

Now... well I haven't seen a Souffs fan say a positive thing about him.

He's gone from a fringe 1st grade player when we signed him to an Australian rep. The myth that Souths is where careers go to die is not true anymore.

He's a great player and potentially the best forward in the comp. Unlike Sandow, we don't have a rookie at Daves position who is going to help make us a better team within the first month of his career.

Unlike Sandow, losing Dave will hurt. Unlike Sandow, I'm dissapointed to lose Dave.

Rumours of us signing Te'o to replace Dave do make me happy. I like Te'o personally and he's a good player, but he doesn't have the talent Dave does, IMO no forward in the comp does.

Turned our own junior into the worlds best prop (I still think of Gallen as a second rower before there are any uproars).

Dave has the size and ability to hit 200+m every week if he really wanted too. Just more focused in hiding out wide and picking his time at a staggered defence or 85kg back to smash through to make the highlight reel. Still clever using him that way but he has to do the hard yakka as well
