Police have charged a man following a several street robberies in Bexley earlier in the month.
About 9:25pm, Monday, April 9, a man was walking along Argyle St towards Carlton railway station when he was assaulted and robbed of cash and his mobile phone.
In another incident about 11pm on Saturday April 14, a man was walking along Harrow Rd, Bexley when he was threatened by a man armed with a pair of scissors.
The man was robbed of cash and his mobile phone.
About 5pm on Sunday, detectives from St George Local Area Command attended a hotel in Rockdale where they arrested two men, aged 20 and 22.
Police will allege during a search of the 20-year-old man they located a stolen mobile phone as well as a pair of scissors and a small amount of cannabis.
Both men were taken to St George Police Station with the 20-year-old being charged with robbery, robbery armed with offensive weapon and possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear in Kogarah Local Court today.
The other man was released without charge pending further investigations.

A young man has been charged with using fake credit cards to pay for MP3 players at a Hornsby shopping centre.
Police were called to the centre on Florence St about 7pm on Thursday after security detained two men, aged 22 and 29.
They had allegedly bought three MP3 players with a fraudulent credit card.
A search of their car uncovered another 17 fraudulent credit cards.
The younger man, from Hurstville, has been charged with three counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception.
He was refused bail and will appear in Hornsby Local Court on Friday.
The second man was released without charge, police said.

A MAN was charged last night with firearm offences after allegedly firing three shots into a club with links to Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim.
The 21-year-old man from
Arncliffe attended St George police station at
Kogarah about 9.45am and was charged late yesterday with discharging a firearm into a building/public place, discharging a firearm in a manner likely to injure and possession of an unauthorised firearm in a public place.
Police allege the man fired into the awning of The Bank nightclub shortly before 4am on Sunday.
He was refused bail to appear in Kogarah Local Court today.
Police are still searching for two men who allegedly met with the man near the club after the incident.
The Bank, one of the golden mile's newest clubs, is owned by Greg Magree and Poata Okeroa - two known associates of Mr Ibrahim.
The incident follows a weekend of booze-fuelled mayhem across NSW in which 737 people were arrested and charged with 1101 offences.
Operation Unite commander Frank Mennilli yesterday expressed his "extreme surprise" at the results of the two-day blitz on alcohol-related crime.
Assistant Commissioner Mennilli was in Kings Cross just hours before the shots were fired outside the packed nightclub.
While he would not comment on the specifics of that investigation he said the weekend operation was proof "that for some people, all they do is go out and look for trouble".
"And it's hard to walk away with a belly full of piss," he said.
New figures from the weekend revealed 220 people were charged with assault, 25 for resisting arrest and 19 with assaulting police.
The appalling figures prompted Last Drinks - a coalition of the police, health and medical unions - to call on the public to make alcohol-related violence an election issue.
"Despite the massive police presence around NSW, this weekend saw more bashings, glassings and brawls, with one person killed outside a pub near
Wollongong," NSW Police Association president Scott Weber said.
He said police, paramedics, doctors and nurses were fed up with being "punching bags for boozed-up yobbos".
"We're not wowsers, we simply want to go to work without being punched, kicked, threatened and spat on by drunken idiots," he said.
Mr Weber cited recent polling, which found 80 per cent of Australians want governments to bring in stronger restrictions on licensed venues to tackle alcohol-related violence.
"The major political parties can't hide from this any longer," he said.
The Salvation Army, meanwhile, released findings of new research into alcohol abuse yesterday which found 12 per cent of people drank just to get drunk while 1.3 million people drink because they were depressed.
