Is a problem with millionaire owners and their toys, when they need to trim the cloth the toys are put away, s0d the fans, s0d the code, s0d the community. Clubs putting all their eggs in one basket are playing a dangerous game. Palmer, Tinkler, Sage, whose next?

Hope you guys dont ask for help from Sage then....

Our previous managment negotiated a deal that wasnt putting all the eggs in one basket, so maybe have a look at the details before commenting on the Knights situation. We are in a much stronger position than the Jets were, for starters Tinkler actually gave two hoots about our club and the sport we play before he took over. We also have a $1 buyback and $20m guarentee in place.

the club is protected in any case. it may be turbulent, but we'd get through it fine. don't let it stop you get all worked up over it, though. carry on.

I was talking about the Jets, Knights is speculation at this time.

Re Sage, I am no fan and hope the ARLC has the sense to choose the WA Reds bid and the WARL who have done so mch work to make our bid viable, not some spoilt rich businessman who has done nothing for RL in WA and has stated he won't put any of his own money in (and thinks Elias is a good idea for CEO!)

The fat f**k Tinkler might be f**ked, who cares. I heard he's poured a ridiculous amount into his horses.

From everything I've heard, the Knights protected themselves before getting into bed with him. They will be fine so I disagree with "lol knights".

The man has little formal education, he walked into a shitload of cash with a lot of luck and now looks like he's got into cashflow issues. Anyone that knows anything about handling a significant amount of money will tell you being asset rich is useless if you have no cash.

Who knows, if he goes poor he might lost some weight.

He want be going poor anytime soon. He has Aston Coal Mine to fall back on. You could be the most useless, irresponsible, donut puncher around and still have Millions left over.

I think this has more to do with the FFA and the fact that Nobody really gives a sh*t about soccer. Come on 500 members, go the Jets.

Anyway Knights would be laughing, he payed their debt off for them.

Who did Bennett sign with to coach the Knights, the team or Tinkler?

Knights will be fine. Poor decision by Tinkiboy to just pull out of the Jets. IMO he had a great business model in HSG with both the Jets and the Knights under one roof. Yes, there may have been problems with the FFA but f**k dont have a hissy fit just because you dont get your way.

Another thought could this be the next step of Clive Palmers new Football league? Who will win it GC or Jets? Maybe they could revive the Fury or NZ Knights lol

Imo knights are safe as an organisation but i can see individuals within the club being put under severe pressure to perform to his expectations. By this i mean management coaching/performance staff etc. Will be an interesting couple of seasons ahead up there if the big fella's not happy with what he sees. For the record the Knights were one of a number of clubs in dire financial straits prior to Tinklers intervention. Anyone who denies that is in lala land. My only concern with the current situation is that Tinkler has just shit on the Newie soccer community despite having the resourses to ride it out for a year or two. Maybe too much of Clive Palmer in one ear ?
