Yeah we've got Paul Thorman. I'd prefer we had Chris! Paul doubles as a development officer for the club.

He was featured in the press holding the challenge Cup aloft up at Finsbury Park on Monday. No doubt the first of 2 times he lifts it this season.
You can have chris, hes been awful for the past 2 seasons.

We got a glimpse into the future with Eastmond winning man of the match and Saints giving a debut to Gary Wheeler, he has had some injuries already in his young career but he is a gun.

London Skolars preparing for Saints CC tie:

LMAO!!!

Haha, that's brilliant! Puna what a star!

Anyway maybe the team spirit is starting to show off on the pitch. Puna and Namila Davui both had their best games in Skolars colours yesterday, and wow what a match it was.

Great controversial finish. It was 24 all, and for some reason Thorman turned down what appeared to be a relatively easy shot at goal from around 20m out. We then have a field goal attempt charged down and Hunslet go the length of the field and almost score. We then knocked a field goal over and again Hunslet have a try disallowed. They then drop the ball on the attack and Davui runs the length of the field to finish them off.

Best match I've seen in a while. Full credit to all the players and the officials who weren't scared to make some gutsy decisions at the end. (No idea if they were right or wrong)

Massive negative to some of dead beat morons supporting Hunslet who looked like they wanted to start trouble after the match. Especially the bloke who pointed at me looking like he wanted to kill me, just cos I was laughing and enjoying the exciting finish.

My mate from Aus attending his first Skolars match said something like it's not hard to see why they have to segregate football fans in this country. Imagine a couple of thousand Hunslet fans.

Skolars to Start Tag Rugby (Oztag)

What is Tag Rugby?

Tag Rugby is a non-contact team game in which each player wears a belt that has two velcro tags attached to it, or shorts with velcro patches. The mode of play is similar to rugby league or touch rugby with attacking players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" - pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier.
Eight players in each team are allowed on the field at a time, whilst the field dimensions are 70m by 50m. The attacking team has six plays or tags to try and score a try or take the ball down field as close to the line as possible. Trys are worth one point and there are no conversions. Kicking in general play is allowed but it must be below shoulder height of the referee and be on the first, fifth or sixth play.
What is Skolars Tag Rugby All About?
Skolars Tag Rugby will be held at Finsbury Park on Tuesday nights for 8 weeks throughout summer. The competition will begin on Tuesday the 24th of June and culminate with finals on Tuesday the 12th of August. In season 1, the competition will be run for open age Men’s teams only. The competition is affiliated with the British Rugby Football League and referees will be provided by the London Rugby League referees society.
Skolars Tag Rugby will feature 2 weeks of grading after which teams will be split into 2 divisions based on ability. We expect division 2 will be suitable for teams with minimal Rugby League or Rugby Union experience, or teams with slightly older players. Matches will kick off at 6:30, 7:15 and 8:00pm. We will do our best to provide teams with their preferred kickoff times.
Registration fees will be £300 per team (maximum 12 players). Individuals are encouraged to register their details and a place will be found in a suitable team for £30. Post match social drinks will take place throughout the season at a nearby pub.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division. The prize for the winning teams will include tickets to the 2008 Carnegie Challenge Cup final at Wembley.
Contact Details
If you like to enter a team in Skolars Tag Rugby, or would like to sign up as an individual please email skolarstag@yahoo.co.uk and we will send you out a registration form.

I witnessed my first skolars win today 46 - 34 over York

There was some good ball playing in the forwards - they still need to work on their defence though.

With games against Blackpool away then Swinton at home I would hope that they could string a few wins together
