Long term forumites?

I think you will find that most posters still read all the posts looking for news but dont have the time to post thousands of times.
I posted on the other site for a while but read most posts every day just to keep up with the news... and thats the key - Most old time posters are sick of having to troll through all the crap (on both sites) just to find some news - well I am anyway.

Many of the long term forummers still visit but the apparent lack of knowledge, infighting and general bullshit doesn't make it the same fun place it used to be.....

Ditto - and every second post is essentially a private conversation between friends which I thought the phone or Facebook was for?

If you try and add to an important topic or converse at an adult level, someone always hijacks it with juvenile nonsense. I literally need to scan the posts that are actually relevant to the topic raised.

I still come into the forum most days but adding a comment is a waste of energy as it is rarely discussed maturely.

I went insane the 948th time someone asked why we let Kingston go, and have been posting absolute rubbish ever since.

Pete, imo you are a great example to most of the sooks, you cop it deluxe, but take it in your stride. Top bloke.

 BUT I dish out a bit too. It's still sport, and still for fun and relaxation. Being an ex-publican I am used to 'copping it'. Water off a duck's back.....and, believe or not, as you get older you tend to be a little bit more acceptable to the passionate nature of a football fan.
In my youth and late teens I used to make myself sick with worry about football..'

Those times were the most exciting times off my life an I certainly don't begrudge anyone else enjoying that right to passion as much as I did.
Passionate supporters are what is missing from MOST things in society these days.
