Looking at 7th maybe even 8th!

A heartless bunch of sooks is what was on display today! So the coach is leaving next year, we won last year, why should we try any more?

The Tigers and Warriors will both win next week. The position we're in at the moment will result in the Storm hammering us and that will result in us dropping back to 7th place.

After such a promising start, the back half of '11 has gone from bad to worse. It wouldn't surprise me if we miss the 8 the way they're playing.

Last weeks game promised to right the sinking ship. How wrong we were. :(

Green from a couple weeks ago - "we're just waiting around for the finals".....umm, yeah we might not even make them at this rate

Its arrogance, laziness, lack of confidence or a combination of all three. Only a win in Melbourne would get them back on track and that is very unlikely

We'll be lucky to make the 8.

They're just a mess at this stage. I thought they were on track after the Tigers game and would build on that. They've gone backwards.

I've stuck by the Dragons saying they are still a chance to go back to back. My view has changed after todays game though.

They are a shadow of the team they were 12 months ago.

I'd be more then happy to finish 5-6th. Ask me that before Origin I would of been disappointed to finish 3-4.

Pathetic bunch of sloths!!!

If I turned up for work with that lazy attitude with no respect for whom I work for I would be sacked!

Difference between the Roosters and the Dragons is...their turmoil is public ours is behind closed doors and no-one expect the players know what the issue is....

I cannot believe we have dug a hole this big!!!!! Embarrassing !!!!!

our success has been built on defense. our defense is gone and our success went with it.

(and yet another dummy half forward pass :) )

Can Wayne Bennett shoulder some of the blame??? May sound ridiculous, but the performance today showed an attitude that was arrogant, disrespectful and just embarrassing. Bennett has either shown less interest in them or they at showing less interest on Bennett.

Well all coaches have praise heaped on them by their fans when their team is winning, so it stands to reason that the coach should also shoullder some of the blame when the team loses.

unless the coach inappropriately fondled them before they hit the field and make them play that soft...then the responsibility should lay on those who are playing.

i think bennett underestimates his effect on their psyche though (so i partially agree with you willow lol) i think..the finals are just around the corner. If he threatens to bench anyone who is just waiting to play in the finals...then it might get a few bums moving again.

Reward those who are willing to put in. Even if we dont win this year...atleast reward those who are hungry for it.

We're on the same page blacklock. I was talking generally in regards to all teams and coaches. And I did make the point that it stands to reason that the coach should at least shoulder some of the blame.

Of course the players are not coached to drop balls, throw forward passes etc... we hope.

Another thing: A message to Darius, Brett and Jason. You are paid to catch the fricking ball. Why you are letting it bounce all the fricking time defies logic. You have 3 rounds to learn this before we get punted in the semis.

I think hooking soward was the wrong call. I think bennett constantly saying "it's up to the players" is wrong. I think he needs to say "of course we can still win it. Of course we can do this together".... hearing his press conference as embarrassing.

That was disgraceful.

What happened to our brick wall defence? Watching a front rower crash over from a simple tap and pass is inexcusable. Our attack is disjointed and sloppy with little creativity. The back 3 do not seem to want to catch a ball, let it bounce way too many times and we were lucky we didn't get burned more often.

Call it effort, execution, whatever, something is seriously wrong. For the first time in 3 years I am looking for the proverbial panic button. Any chance of some volcano related ash cloud that could cancel our flight to Melbourne? Don't really fancy watching the storm put 40 on us.

I am reduced to praying that somehow we do something to restore some pride!

Just embarrasing.....

As stunned as I am after todays 'complete lack of everything', I'm keen to see how we front up to an impressive Storm outfit this Friday in Melbourne. If they walk thru us then we are dust, if we find our mojo and play a solid game then I'll be still upbeat about our chances in the finals.

Fingers and toes crossed.

I'd rather miss out on the finals all together rather than finishing 7th or 8th and being bundled out of the finals in the first week easily...

I can handle a loss but i cant when the boys (except for style, nightingale and young) don't show any passion in the jersey.. I'm at a loss for words atm. I won't be able to handle finishing the season without a win in the last 7 weeks.

I'm sorta looking forward to which dragons team walks out next week against some quality opposition.

Normie, we found our mojo last week and 'should' have won, but we didn't. The only positive thing we can take from next week will be a win. A loss will see us gone for 2011. We need to find the defence and determination we had back when we beat Manly. Unfortunately, I think it's too late. Hope I'm wrong.
