Looking for a long lost thread

I recall years ago a/some Roosters fan/s fabricating a ''story'' about a Roosters player with the express purpose of snaring a journo and exposing their ''scoops'' for what a lot of the really are.

I think it had something to do with Circular Quay station, and I think bourbon Becca fell for it.

Edit: I remember the poster, went by the name of Choppies. I'm now thinking it was closer to 10 years ago.
