Loss of sponsor for the Qld Cup.

Does anyone know why Bundy chose not continue their association with the Qld competition.
Their support, financially at least was considerable.
Are there any other sponsors who may come on board.
Qld, and for that matter the rest of the league playing States can ill afford to have this Qld comp weakened as far as quality and participation!

Put it this way Beast, Bundaberg Rum have a huge sponsorship with Rugby Union and that's probably the reason why they are pulling out on the Qld Cup at the end of the year.

As for another major sponsor, I don't know it is going to come from. XXXXcould have been the logical replacment to pick up the naming rights to the competition but it's unlikely that they will increase it's already large investment in league.

If the Qld Cup does fall over, a SE Qld (probably much like the old Brisbane RL with perhaps Burleigh or Toowoomba added in) comp will be set up. A bit of a blow, especially to Central Qld andthe Cowboys, if it does happen but the QRL have nothing but themselves to blame for it happening.

It sis a dreadful time to be losing major sponsors, it is alittle too coincidental for mine that the rahs rahs are getting more from league than we are in return.
I will be interested to see what the governing body has to say about it, I suspect all we will hear are words as they will do f**k all about it!
