The guy is obviously having personal issues. What a bunch of unsympathetic whingers you lot are wanting him sacked for that.

We dont know the story here so everyone should chill a bit whilst he works through his issues.

What none of you lot have had personal issues at some stage in your life? geez.

Whether there is an agenda or not these are the facts:

- He walked out on his origin team mates
- He left his parra team mates high and dry in the newcastle game
- and then again with his subsequent suspension
- He publicly bagged ando right after he was sacked
- He hasn't shown up to training all week
- And lets not forget he played like a busted arse most of the year

Your concerned about his side of the story? How about you consider his team mates side of the story, after all rugby league is a team game - It seems timana has forgotten this

Yep, I'm concerned about his side of the story. As I wrote, I don't just read what the media feed me.

That is very light on for facts.

Really none if our business what the club grants him!

He was not as bad as people made out this year, he put on some great hits and showed plenty of pride in the jersey......the rest of the team was garbage too, why are people focusing solely on him????

If SK sees fit to have him in the team this year (even if he misses the entire off-season) I will trust his judgement, he is the one who lives and dies by his decisions!
he does not have a current contract,
what organization would sign a new contract with a perspective employee, when that potential employee is not ready to fulfill his obligations under that contract.

We keep on getting reminded that the NRL is a business, what applies when you want to dismiss someone should also apply when you want to hire someone.

and if those personal issue start affecting my employment, I would be put on notice. There is a limit to the amount of charity a business can show an employee.

Tahu has not been super impressive since his return from Union. Not all of that is his fault. Our halves weren't exactly skilled in the art of spreading the ball to the backs. Like all outside backs of ability, he needs some space to work with.

However, as much as I take every article from the Telecrap with a grain of salt (unnamed players, unnamed sources close to the club, quotes taken out of context), he does seem to be a troubled soul. His "hit" this season for which he was suspended was born out of some sort of frustration. And his wasting no time to take a swipe at the outgoing coach - particularly for something as trivial as being asked to play with an injury when your team needs you - again shows he has a lot on his mind. Many players play with injuries throughout the season. Well, the tough ones do anyway. Perhaps the swipe at Anderson was just his way of supporting "the board's" (oops...there's that word) decision to axe him? At the very least, I believe it was meant to support his mate Osborne.

Now here is a thought, when opportunity knocks we should take it with both hands wide open.

With Inglis's contract possibly falling over at Souths, and Tahu yet to sign, we should cut Tahu loose and use SK's relationship with Inglis to sign the best centre in the world. The timing is perfect, no?

Now that is what I would call astute thinking from our management team. ;-)

I was thinking the same thing.

But

I agree with a few people on here about wanting to hear tahus side of the story first, i also dont think he was as bad as everyone is saying he was this year, everyone was bad and there were worse players then him out there, he was the only player i saw who hit the eels emblem after some big hits to get the team pumped, noone else in our team does that.

So ill wait to hear from Tahu first.

Parramatta has secretly granted Timana Tahu a week's leave after relevations the Eels star has been missing from training and continues to battle his personal demons.

The admission comes from Eels chief executive Paul Osborne after claims Tahu has been AWOL from Parramatta pre-season training since Monday.
Parramatta denied Tahu has gone missing instead blaming his absence from Monday's session on car trouble, however, he hasn't been back to Parramatta Stadium since.
This latest drama involving Tahu follows his omission from the Indigenous All Stars team voted on by the public.
Tahu has also reportedly refused to enter mediation talks after accusations that he racially abused a 16-year-old player at an Aboriginal knockout tournament in October at Woy Woy.
Osborne said the NSW State of Origin star had asked for a few days leave - a request that was approved by new Parramatta coach Steve Kearney.
"Timana has asked for a few days off," Osborne said.

"He did have car problems on Monday but I knew about that. I have spoken to Steve and he knows about it [Tahu's absence].
"There are no dramas. He has been training really well, training the house down."
Pressed again on whether Tahu had gone AWOL, Osborne reiterated: "No. He is spending time with his family."
Parramatta players are talking among themselves about Tahu and say he has in fact gone AWOL. The Daily Telegraph spoke to one player privately who admitted the former Kangaroos star had not been seen for nearly a week.
"We don't know where he is," the player said.
The Eels are handling Tahu delicately after a bizarre season involving two racial vilification dramas. After leaving camp with NSW over a racial slur from assistant coach Andrew Johns, Tahu was then accused of racially abusing Caleb Binge at the Koori Knockout tournament the week after the NRL grand final.
Tahu, who is yet to re-sign with Parramatta for next season, has strongly denied the claim.
However there is little doubt Tahu is a troubled footballer.
One source close to Parramatta said: "He seems a lost soul at the moment."
Following Tahu's snub in the Indigenous All-Stars team, Preston Campbell has claimed the Parramatta player's image had been tarnished this year.
Chris Binge, father of the teenager Tahu allegedly racially abused at Woy Woy, said the Parramatta player continues to refuse any mediation talks with his son Caleb, who was allegedly called a "black c***."
Binge, who stands by his allegations against Tahu, has told the media the NRL star's credibility is on the line.

If Tahu isn't contracted to the eels I can't really see too much of a problem with this.

Although I do find it strange that he couldn't turn up due to car troubles. How hard is it to get a cab or bus.
