And cry to the media to the point that action was taken...

And on the football field too, so Tahu make some effort to sort this issue out with the kid involved.
You're right, it doesnt, and there have been plenty of people that have come forward and said that they heard Tahu make no such remark.
If he didnt do it, I can fully understand why he'd want to thumb his nose at the whole thing.
TBH, no one in our team really had a year to be proud of so its unfair to single out Tahu's performance. Considering he carried an injury, and had to go through all the Origin race crap for the 2nd half of the Season its understandable that he didn't perform as well as he was expected to. Pre-union he was amazing, and i think he can get back to that form, and i want him to be at Parra when he does.
No no no, apparently it's okay for black people to be racist towards each other. And on the football field too, so Tahu make some effort to sort this issue out with the kid involved.
2 or three of the 4 accusers weren't even on the field,Of course not everyone on the field would have heard it.
neither is bullying, seems to me Tahu is being bullied by the family and the telecrapAs he should have.

Yes. The whole thing is a circus, and if Tahu didnt do it, I dont see what he has to gain by going through mediation. The mediation would be a joke and what is said would be splashed over news the next day with Tahu being called a liar.
What really stands out to me about this incident is that there was no official complaint made until several days after the family were all over the telegraph. Somethings just not right about it. If that was my son, I would have made a formal complaint the same day.....
Hevy Devy will tell me I'm being paranoid and unfairly picking in the media, but it seems that since SOO, news ltd have been gunning for Tahu. Even in the last week, writing continually how he was AWOL (when in fact he had leave) and today's piece going and getting this family to stick the boot in. I dont think they'll be happy until Tahu is run out of the game. In saying that though, yes, he could have handled things better, but FFS he is just a footy player who took a stand over racism and has basically been in a firestorm since.

Yes I think you're onto somethin. fisheel. News Ltd are out to get Tahu. Maybe Casper is right about these big bad corporations. I'm going to keep my tinfoil hat on just in case.
Do you know the guy? Have you heard his side of the story? Have you heard from anyone else who was at the game?
I don't think so for any of these questions.
So many assumptions made by people who believe everything they read.
The more I read some of the comments by some "supporters", the more I see the power of propaganda & how it effects people's beliefs.
I'm back on the north coast - & from what I have found out this morning, the issues are not to do with the central coast game.
find a troubled indigenous player and you will find his "brother" mundine next to him,
the question is what comes first the chicken or the egg.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/nrl/eels-boss-meets-troubled-tahu/story-e6frfgbo-1225961669402PARRAMATTA chief executive Paul Osborne will today break from a North Coast family holiday to meet with troubled centre Timana Tahu and reassure him of his place at the club in 2011. Osborne, who was set to spend the weekend in Byron Bay, told The Daily Telegraph last night Tahu had "done a deal" for next season and would be given as much time as he needed to sort through a range of personal issues.
The NSW Origin star has not spoken with anyone at the club since skipping training on Monday because his car, he said, had broken down. New Eels coach Steve Kearney yesterday said the former Wallaby was battling "complex issues" after a tough year involving two racial vilification cases.
"We're supporting Timana Tahu 100 per cent," Osborne said last night. "It's been a tough year for him off the field and our priority is for him to get himself right before coming back to training.
"We've done a deal with him for next year. It's sorted. But, obviously, right at the moment he needs a little extra time away from footy and we've given him permission for that. At the end of the day, we'll keep supporting him until he's ready to come back and play."
Asked if he expected Tahu to try to quit the club, Osborne added: "No, I don't. You have to remember the bloke has been through a real tough year. I know the stuff surrounding the Aboriginal knockout was tough on him. It's affected him hard. Our only concern is getting his head right and getting him happy ... we'll provide whatever support is required to make that happen."
Since returning to State of Origin this year with NSW - a moment he listed among his greatest achievements - Tahu has been caught in an ugly downward spiral that first saw him walk out of Blues camp after a spat with Andrew Johns. At the end of the year the centre was himself accused of racially vilifying a teenage rival at an Aboriginal league carnival.
The matter is yet to be resolved.
Tahu was also recently overlooked for the Indigenous All Stars side as fans voted him out.
His absence has certainly had little impact on Parramatta pre-season training, with Kearney pushing the squad through what veteran players like Nathan Hindmarsh and Luke Burt are describing as their toughest ever.
Kearney has significantly increased the team's focus on wrestling while also putting them through more running than ever before.
