I got my copy in the post yesterday... and a nice bonus was that the cover was signed by the band members... NICE!

I've had a few listens, and the wait was definitely worth it. One word to describe it is blistering. And it's definitely a dramatic departure from Pacifier.

Anyway, I won't spoil the fun for people who haven't had a chance to grab their hands on a copy at this time.

But it's a f***ing awesome listen!

Got mine on Wednesday:p

Totally f**king awesome..I knew that it would be more intense than the Pacifier album, which is a relief.

It's definetly a mix of Killjoy and TGE, with a touch of Churn in certain songs (Day Will Come, Traitor,Shot In The Head).

Even though I've heard 3-4 of the songs live before the album arrived, it's still amazing.

Favourite - Empty Shell,Dark Times,Guts & Glory

Got a copy of it from a work colleague

I like it, it's far better and heavier than the last several pieces of junk

Overall the Pacifier album was...well yeah junk.

A few good songs came off it though - Comfort Me (which is now a cemented song in their setlists),Semi Normal,Everything,Bullitproof

I'm listening to Killjoy atm and I can definetly see links between it and LITNH.

Yeah, mine was signed as well! :D Very nice!!

I love the way it contrasts as well, between, say, "Traitor" and "Stop". Blistering is great way to describe it, it's a bit of a roller coaster ride, far better than the Pacifier album (which I actually like, strangely enough....).

The one thing I have noticed is that Love Is The New Hate does not really have any "radio friendly" tracks, perhaps apart from Alive.

Pacifier, on the other hand, tried to cram a CD full of them. It was the direction they were heading at the time, trying to crack the American market - and they were getting some commercial airplay here too. But compared to their recent effort, Pacifier pales in comparison.

I'm still flogging it to death - I love how it constantly alternates between the soft melodic stuff and raw energetic angst.

It goes on sale here on Monday - be interesting to see how well it sells. Could be in the top 50 for a few weeks. It will definitely be the feature CD on Triple J.

I've just gotta say...I've seen Shihad twice in the last week - Saturday at Splendour in front of 15,000 people, and tonight at Dubbo R.S.L. in front of 150 people...and the band puts in no matter the audience they f**king put in - thats why they are one of the top few live acts in Australia (meh...close enough) today.
