Unless everyone would prefer individual threads.

On that at 2.45pm v the Roosters.

No minutes for Tago on Friday night. So I assume he will feature.

Important these guys get good minutes. Lussick only had 11 minutes on Friday.

For the next two games none of the unused players from first grade will be able to feature in reserve grade. Those fixtures are all on the same day and ground as each other.

They used to go the 40 mins for the 18th man. So it will be interesting to see how we handle that now

I also wonder about the idea of a national reserve grade. I assume they want both grades played same ground same day. That kind of exacerbates the issue with extended benches.

Its not the biggest problem in the world but you do have to manage it.

The rules were at one time you had to play the full game in Reserve Grade to be a one of 2 reserves in first grade. Rules evolved to meet TV.
Three grades played on same day same venue. Great value for fans leave the house at 11:45 return home in time for Sunday dinner. Used to love April thru August in Penrith. Probably more likely that NRLW game will be slotted
permanently before 1st grade than reserves. NRL couldn’t give a rats about NSWRL except Origin and the ladies.

Flegg team won 28-26 over the Roosters.
Surrendered the lead, but snuck home with a late try in the final minutes.

QRL are fighting that, The QLD teams want the own team in QCup but it keeps getting blocked.

Surely they just go it soon enough

I think its the right plan long term but we don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot here. The concerns seem legitimate.

We probably need more QLD teams in the NRL. But how many? Culling NSW sides seem to be off the table these days.

The 3rd tier comp just steps up, so the outcome is the same

Tago missed a tackle on a poor team kick chance which lead to a length of the field try on the kick return.

Other than that was fine in defence and strong in attack. Few breaks which he put on the last pass for tries.

Standout was mclean though. He was unreal and tbh had been closr to our best all 3 games.

Patea didnt play at all...

Not sure why as he didnt get injured in lasts weeks game.

Wouldnt be suprised if he was dropped to be honest..

All the forwards were strong and he wasnt missed..

Disappointing he hasnt cone back fit. He needs a kick up the backside and should be doing extras every week just to get a look in at cup atm.

Hes still so young so hopefully this is a learning curve for him that theres no time for slacking in the nrl... even in the preseason

Patea was in the NRL dressing room on Friday i daresay hes just hurt as he wasnt named anywhere. Being dropped from NSW cup means playing Ron Massey, you dont just not play anywhere.
