With a team like us being a so called development club I reckon we especially need great coaches at CC level and Flegg. In our club it need not be a place doing an apprenticeship. I would love to see a Shaun Wane or someone coach our CC side then if Mary is sacked he can actually take over. I seen Joey talking the other day about how CC etc is being coached to win comps when it should be about producing 1st graders and I fully agree. With a decent coach and lesser opposition maybe Aitken can actually have a chance to learn to pass.

Pretty sure there would be zero chance of a three time Super League winner coaching a reserve grade team with Mary as his head coach.

A skill Aitken should have learned years ago and not been let anywhere near first grade until he did learn to pass and tackle.

I do agree that preparation for first grade should be the prime aim for reserve grade. Maybe a loose and win payment system would be a better option than a competition.

I rate Talau as a coach and thought he did a goid job with the Flegg boys this year. I haven't heard anything regarding him leaving that position.
CC is becoming the poison chalice. Do well get sacked, do poorly get promoted. Btw I didn't think Head was a good coach, jusf had a good stable and consistant (most never got a run in 1st grade)team. Whoever the CC coach is, theg would need to be pretty hard skinned and its why I would appoint Flannagan there.

Obviously unless he seen it as an opportunity to get in and knife Mary, stomping over Flanno to get there.

I rate Talau as a coach and thought he did a goid job with the Flegg boys this year. I haven't heard anything regarding him leaving that position.

That’s kind of what I’m getting at. In that what we need is players that are ready to step in when FG are burned out and Origin etc. I think we all agree that 2020 will be a year of rebuilding we need our next tier with as good coaching as possible. Plus there may be coaches out there that are not great GF winning coaches or game plans etc but can really develop individual talent, ie a specialist coach that suit CC.
