LU Dynasty League - 2012 Season Thread

ok boys, the season is right here upon us. gonna be a close one this season as all the teams look like they can make some noise any given week.

hands down favourite has to be the shineys. years of high draft picks and some astute trading the last couple of seasons has his team stacked from top to bottom.

can never be discounted are the teams with a top 5 qb. these teams are always in any game as their qbs usually put up monster points. thus, the jka saints, hot beef injection, southernskins and stonecutter sharks will always be in it every week.

breakthrough season has to go to the stunts. that's if his strters decide to play in the first 8 weeks of the season.

comeback team will be the dazzlers. manning and charles are back. cjno2k seems to be motivated this season. wrs may hold him back.

out of the basement will be the donte drink and drive. could be great but his rbs are injuries waiting to happen.

sneaky good are the bungles. could be the surprise packet of this season.

the belicheats and dogs of war have some pieces in place and will certainly be competitive.

sorry hogs but your rbs are terrible and you gave away coltson for another plodding rb. maybe the #1 pick next season will sooth the pain of this year. maybe this will be the year ryan finally explodes as your qb and if that happens you never know.

well that's my wrap up of the teams. gonna be a great season.

if all day comes back strong this season though, look out.

A lack of good draft pick spots and a lack of ability on the waiver wire might catch up with me this year.

I knew that pain all too well for the first couple of years of this competition. I'm hoping like hell that all that rubbish finally pays off this year - I'm confident this is our year, though the drop in value of Beanie Wells and James Starks over the preseason is a knock I'd rather not have and as such I'll probably end up starting 3 WR most weeks.

unless dalton and dmac can score 72 points between them i think i've got this first game in the bag. what a great first up effort from my team. i should have known mbush would vulture a couple of tds against a weak colts d. that's gonna be a difficult call to make all season.

at least adp showed he is the man and is ready to go back into my starting lineup.

I actually inherited a decent team, and even though I consider myself to be a decent fantasy player, I really have f**ked this team up massively. especially trading away Matt Stafford :S

just letting you know i made a change to the def scoring rules.

it seems the saints were given 12 points for their blockerd punt td, 6 for the defensive td and 6 for the blocked punt td. in essense, double dipping.

so i have deleted the 6 points for blocked punt td and blocked fg td.

as a result the saints only received 6 points for that td now.

all is back to normal.

Sometimes you just can't catch a break in fantasy football

Starting RBs Matt Forte and Fred Jackson both injured

Starting TE Antonio Gates injured

That coupled with my star performers having average starts to the season (Stafford, Nelson), looks like I may be picking high in next season's draft
