Might as well keep things moving. Who do you fancy to do the tough stuff?

Petero
Matt Goodwin
Martin Lang
Knuckles Greenhill
Ben Ross
Hillary Clinton
Tim Grant
Sam McKendry
Terry Geary
Tim Sheens
Carl Macnamara
Nigel Plum
Paul Clarke
The Big Marn
Geoff Gerard
Mark Carroll & Tony Butterfield would also be a good chance had they not left.

Who else?

This is probably the toughest poll in terms of numbers of candidates. I'd be leaning toward Nobby Clarke as one cos he was so consistent and had a massive heart. Peter Kelly would be my other...I just loved the way he played the game, tough and hard.

Petereo would never get my vote. He was a massive, disruptive influence at the club. His captaincy was poor and coincided with one of the worst periods in our history. What did he teach Tim Grant and Sam? What influence did he have on the training habits of Jennings? He did play well for us, but because of the other factors he was more bad than good and probably our worst signing ever if you look at how much we paid him. Bennett never made him captain. I wonder why?

Lang - Iron will and drive. Run through brick walls for us. He would last 5 minutes a game now with the concussion rules.
Clinton - Tried his guts out, but bad hands at times. Gave 110% every time and was awesome in 2003 and 2004.
Ross - Great player when it mattered. Still don't understand why we let him go.
Clarke - 1991. Nuff said. Legend. Tough, unsung and inspirational.
Tim Grant - Stop it, you're killing me.

The grateful head has one spot sewn up in my mind. I'm torn on the other one. Matt Goodwin was one of my favorite players, but he isn't quite as good as some of the other options.

no doubt terry geary will get few if any votes but he was one of toughest guys to ever pull on a panther jersey and not to mention his srevice as a administrator after football. He should easily have one position. But by the looks of the selections so far you need to have played from 91 or be a media person

It is going to be a tough gig for anyone pre late eighties to get a spot. Most on here are too young to have seen players earlier than that. I am 43 & struggle to remember anyone pre 85 unless they were something special & flashy.

I don't think he'll get a look in, but Geoff Gerard played over 100 games for us in the front row. On the other hand Peter Kelly only played 40 games for us and I don't think that is enough to get a nomination for an all-time side, even though I also love the way he played the game.

My feeling is that we shouldn't be picking players whose main claim to fame was performances elsewhere. Unless they did exceptional things in our colours. This would count Petero, Peter Kelly, Tunks and Bear O"Reilly out. Martin Lang played enough games for us to be considered I believe, and was instrumental in our 2003 GF triumph, so he's in.

Apart from Freddy I don't think anyone that didn't play most of their career at Penrith will get a look in regardless of nominations. Freddy made it to Aus captain before he bailed, so he achieved more than enough in black to get a pass IMO.

What about Steve Boss, but seroiously Matty Goodwin only because he was almost a club man except for that season with Parra and there hasn't been many long serving props and tough. Got soft spot for Carl Mcnamara due to he was so consistent. Other than that most junior props leave or we have to buy from other clubs.

I think that is spot on. I never saw any players before 87. The other problem I see is this. It's easier to look good in a side that was not very good and lets face it, most of the Panther's side before the early 80's were pretty ordinary. When you stand out in teams that make the semi's and win premierships, then you must be some player.
