At first I was wary of Jarome as being a bit smug but I am warming towards him as being a great role model.
If the Panthers fans aren't all but very proud of the man and grateful for his services which resulted in those awesome premierships to them, then they have lost a grip on reality.
I'm an advocate of putting the family first, mates second and the rest can fit in wherever. I do admit though, that when it comes to being a loyal Tigers supporter, it's a very fine line. :)

Haha, all this Luai love. I can still recall each and every team hating on him for being Smug as they call it for winning at Penrith. Now he is a Tiger, and everyone now calls him their own.

At least wait until he puts the jumper on for the first time.

And no I am not angry he left Penrith, as I have said before glad he took the money and the chance at being the star of the show for once.

I can't speak for everybody, but yes, I'm glad he is here, why wouldn't I/we be.
TBF, I don't like any player who is not playing for West Tigers, as I'm sure most fans are.

Ok so now you wright the rules for how and when to celebrate a new player at a club . This is how it works the world over, in any sport, when a star player comes across..but ofcourse now a precious Penrith fan dont like that, coz the player was one of theirs
Ofcourse your pissed off Luai’s leaving, otherwise you wouldn’t make a big deal about it .Although you strike me as the type of person that would get pissed off if someone offered you the wrong amount of $$, if they thought you needed help..

I can’t talk about other Penrith fans, but I am not p!ssed Jarome left. It makes sense to me; ‘market value’ is what the market is willing to pay a player and I believe that we couldn’t (as opposed to didn’t want to) pay him his worth.

As others have said, hating a player one season, loving then the next based on what jersey they are wearing is part of the sport. I can only talk for myself here but I think most Panther fans on this site won’t go the other way though; Jarome will always be appreciated for what he has done for the club.

My biggest concern for Jarome is if things don’t go the way many Tigers fans think they are going to go. At the Panthers he was well coached and part of a squad built systematically with the aim of maximising players talents within an accepted structure. He won’t have that at the Tigers. I just hope that if things don’t go as well as some think it will and he isn’t as effective, that the fans don’t turn on him like they have other high-paid recruits over the last decade or so. Because two things we know about Jarome is that he feeds on the positive energy of his fans and he won’t stop trying. He is a rich man’s Josh Reynolds.

So many questions.. can Benji coach? I wouldn’t put it passed him..Can Luai fail? ofcourse he can..can everything fall into place for WT in 25? ..Definitely!

I'll be completely pissed if he is anything at all like Josh Reynolds. You should have your mouth washed out with soap for even making this comparison.

I understand your points that you made but I mean come on. The guy has been an elite level talent and we are paying his as an elite level talent. If he doesn't perform of course we will be pissed.

Benji's coaching to me is a bigger risk than Luai playing well but I think it's more likely everything will fall into place. I've been critical of Benji and I think rightfully so but the players seem to like him and he has in my opinion shown an ability to make some tough decisions.

Let's see what happens. The season is starting pretty soon.

Cheers, but none of us know, what he or the club will bring this year. Obviously (to me anyway) Luia will bring a lot to the team in both on field and off field ideas.
But he won't be doing it all on his own though, we have some decent players to assist him, for the first time, in a long time.
I'm looking forward to what we do with his talents and how he will affect the other teammates around him.
I do think the coach is the weak link atm, but we'll see what he has learnt. Jerome was keen to come here because of him.

Benji just like Tim Shines will only be as good as the players running THEIR show to make him.look good .
Sheens was f**king woeful everywhere he coached when he didnt have a star studded side with talent to drag them along. Benji & Prince, Hodgson and co for us. Walters ,Stewart Belcher ,Daley and co for the Raiders.
They do nothing more then enspire the team the go out and play their OWN game and hope the others get caught up in the hype.
In saying that ... there is absolutely no reason why this current side can't rinse and repeat that same mantra and achieve way and beyond their true potential.

I can't even remember. How funny is that. Reynolds was a disaster. He seems like a good guy but geez Cleary cocked that one up.

I hope Benji does more than this. Surely he has learnt this doesn't work consistently.
