Luai the tigepie.

Luai picked up a nasty fever and his whole chest went red, but the star playmaker stressed the injury wasn’t what was first reported.

“It was just a wound, not a boil,” he explained after spending three days in hospital.

“When I saw the word boil I was like ‘oh man, the boys are gonna roast me’. They’re all giving it to me. I’ll cop that on the chin, but I am just happy I am back feeling a lot better.

“I was probably a bit rundown from backing up after Origin, you start to catch things a bit easier. I got a bit of a staph infection. I went to hospital after the captain’s run and tried to get those antibiotics into my system and be right to play the next day.

“I got there and the doctor said it was a lot worse than what we thought it was. I am feeling a lot better now, I am grateful for that. You take for granted sometimes when you’re in good health, so good to be back now.”

I think Richo said the right things there. I don't think Luai has performed up to his pay packet for us this season but there are positive signs.
I think the signs are there for Luai and Fainu to really shine, as they play different styles, which hopefully gives us the advantage.

I really hope so mate. Latu is balanced on his feet and is nearly a complete half. All he needs to do now is get better in all facets of kicking. 40/20, grubbers, forced drop outs, bombs etc. He needs to do this in case Luai cant, or just to mix it up.
Apart from Latu having his brothers play in the NRL he has rugby league in his blood.
His uncle is Tevita Amone played for Western Suburbs back in the late 90s.

He certainly isn’t performing commensurate with his generous pay pkt.For the get out clauses to still be active suggests him & his manager are intending on & waiting for the optimum time to extract more money out of WT.His manager would’ve been doing cartwheels when Perth was announced & when Galvin fkd off knowing that his bargaining power got stronger & hence they have the club by the balls re Luais contract clauses

It was always going to a tall order hey Ted. He left a well oiled machine and we are rebuilding.
The more I think of it, Jarome's on huge money and as long as we've got Latu, who should keep improving, it won't hurt as much if Luai goes, and I'm sure the huge bank roll that we'll have will entice a suitable replacement to come here.
The best way to sort it all out is to keep winning.

That's OK, TBH, I think he's worth more anyway, while his game is getting back there, I think the off the game stuff he does with the club is invaluable.
IMO he’s on massive overs.Actually I wouldn’t be disappointed if he activated the get out clause coz the 1.2m could be spent a heck of a lot more prudently
