He came to us from the best club team this century with a reputation as an elite player however he hasn’t performed consistently at an elite level for us.Cant reinforce strongly enough what u said that his value to us comes from performance on field winning us games & leading us to the promised land.The off field stuff pales into insignificance

I completely agree with this. I think the difference in our opinions is two things:-

1. I think his last couple of games have shown he is an elite talent.
2. I think it's really hard to get a player like this to come or stay at our club.

I'll add that I think our expectations are the same though. I expect him to be a key member of a team that wins the comp. I think for him to prove he is worth his contract he has to do that. It's not all on him but he has to play consistent top tier footy for us.

I'm not stressed but I don't think it's easy to replace a player of Luai's quality. That is the issue. I don't think you can just go to market and get one of those players.

Let's see what he does. If he really wants to help our club then his future decisions will reflect that. We've done more than our share to accommodate him.
In the meantime, he needs to help us win. As you and me and others have said, Luai and Fainu could get it done.

Would it really be a bad thing for Luai to activate one of his get-out clauses? I know we have much bigger issues than him.....but for what he is paid, he is not giving us near that value. We could get some good forwards for what Luai is on.

This hasnt just happend recently. He doesn’t know how to run the halves ship. He’s been playing 6 and 7 since he arrived, alternating between the 2 positions throughout games.. he’s now in head fk land

It is what it is I'm afraid. With the amount of money he's tying up I'm not fussed what happens.
Unless we have a gun replacement it will put us back further and may have a spin-off effect.
I think AD was hoping to be our saviour but judging by his interview yesterday we've low balled him and given him a reality check.
We need a gun ⅝ atm as Latu is a ½, Haywood is a ½.

AD is a Leo Tiger .. basically not to be fked with but hugely confident and relaxed around people and likeable..BUT Benji would have seen an AD on the training track after that tackle that he hadn’t seen before ..I reckon Benji’s all in for AD ..It’s just Richo now
