He still wouldn't say the clauses are lifted when asked.
I think he's got nothing to gain by leaving even with the new clubs coming.
I don't think he'll get more money and tigers can improve.
He won’t get anywhere near the money he’s currently on as he’s not performing anywhere near his pay grade.I just hope his contract doesn’t end up being the most toxic contract this pathetic club has ever negotiated coz there’s been some absolute shockers

Ted we have to keep a spine together for a long time. Chopping and changing a spine causes havoc, this I know.

Luai talks a good game.We need him
To walk the talk coz he’s been very underwhelming thus far.We can’t afford a player on his astronomical money to fk us over the way we were with Brooks & his toxic contract for a protracted period.

He isn't Brooks but his contract is like double Brooks contract. I like Luai and I think he has shown he has the ability to lead this team towards being a top tier club.

The thing is they haven't gotten the job done this year and we are regressing.

I'd love to see them play out the season and find some form to give us some hope for next year.

I understand where your coming from Ted.
My point is, just when the team as a whole gets some cohesion the halves change, or the forwards change and the halves have to deal with players not playing structured footy. However, if you had a choice who you want to play together week after week, I would choose the spine hands down.
This year we've had so many changes, some couldn't be helped.
Newcastle struggled because they chopped and changed their halves.
Ricky had probs until he settled on a spine. They started out bad but look at it now.
Sometimes when your building a side like us you have to bite the bullet and persevere.
The forward will benefit by knowing how things will play out. If they play better then the spine benefits.
Having said that, your points ring true and the only way to satisfy both opinions is to have a better roster. Have a team that adapts and gets the job done.

The glaring regression this season is a huge concern. After what I’ve seen Im not confident Luai is capable of steering the team to play finals in the future

I think Luai can do it. I think Api has been significantly worse than Luai this season. Our forwards haven't gotten the job done and our backs have been inconsistent.

I don't think we can turn it around without Api and Luai killing it though.

I think the new half is less about AD and more about Luai…I think if you yank Luai then we see what Latu can do. Perhaps the spoon is the only way to achieve this

I know I'm not the sharpest pencil...are you saying the problem is not AD it's Luai and we should get rid of him to see if Fainu can run the show?
If this is what your saying WA, that makes me even more nervous.
Luai has not had the ideal transition to run the show. Injury, suspension, shuffling of the spine. Galvin dramas, Sullivan etc. Different bench most weeks.
Any fault should be directed at Benji and Richo for recruiting an energetic ⅝ to play ½ and pay him overs with options. I don't blame the lad.
I still believe the spine of Latu, Rommy, Bula and Api will work but they need to play a lot of games together. We have to persevere with them.
Once they gel, our forwards will know what their role is too. It's a team.
I think you and I both like AD, is that right?
However, AD has lost his place in the backs imo. He'll have a battle on his hands to get a gig there in the future...well he should.
Do we risk giving him a contract as a utility lock and to cover injuries in the backline. Do we want to risk this in a rebuild and restrict our buying and retention ability?
I can't see him getting the money he wants. Perth might be an option.

Isaac the cant Moses will get AD a gig at one of the clubs where he manages the coach.Theres no way in the world AD will be remaining at Concord. The fun & games next season will revolve around Bula as his fkwit manager will inevitably be lobbing hand grenades at Concord to continue to destabilise the club.We really need to be working on a contingency.

Your passion hate for Moses is quiet entertaining Ted :)
I hope Bula stays.
I think AD wants to stay but it's all about the $. I can't begrudge anyone really who chases the dollars, it's a professional sport. It's the way in which these managers do buisiness is what annoys me.
Galvin should have made a real heart felt thankyou to the club and the supporters for getting him to where he is now. His goodbye was p -weak.
Bula on the other hand seems a nice kid and a practising Christian, he won't leave in the same manner me finks.
What would be interesting is if he allows his manager to act like a ratbag.. .....I'll let you fill in the blanks with some colourful expletives Ted :)

Is this a problem. Melbourne have 2 running halves. The Dogs have two running halves.

I don't blame Luai for Latu not playing great but I don't think either of them have been that bad. We aren't denting the line and I think it's hard for the team to play with a lack of go forward.

Also, Bula's wife has a contract with us. Plus he only needs to agree with the $900k option and his (current) manager will get nothing.
I don't see him going anywhere.

I thought Latu's last game, was perhaps his worst game. Not sure why, but he seemed shell shocked?
