If Luai decides to leave at seasons end 2024, I would now like the Panthers to throw the same offer at Ezra Mam, but maybe a longer term than 2 years. What a duo that would make Cleary and Mam. Mam reported to be only on 250K this season. Throw 800 to 850K at him. Now that's got future years covered. We have seen what he can do.
Go on Panthers, DO IT.
His defense isn't up to it. If we lose Luai I'd keep the cash for other areas and stick with what we have. One advantage of knowing so far out is it allows time to concentrate on giving Cole or Laurie a good run there in cup.

Cole has decent size about him, Just needs an injury free run to see if centre, 14 or 6 is his spot

Here's what could happen in the left field

AFB leaves Warriors this year
Warriors front end a heap of their current players with the spare $1m
Sign Jerome for 2025

Their spine would be
1. RTS
6. Luai
7. Johnson
9. Eagan

Coach Webster could make this happen

Now were talking premiership window.

Just saying.......

I can't see Luai leaving Penrith to play '2nd banana' at the Warriors. If Luai leaves I believe it will be to play 7.

SJ has only got one year left in him. (injury and father time) will take their toll.

Why would you try and convert our best option to cover Nathan, into something that he’s not? Makes zero sense

I’m pretty sure Schneider has played 6 before.

In terms of onfield production I think we can replace Luai, biggest concern would be the defence of his replacement imo. We played some great games with the cleary cogger partnership after romey was hurt. If Luai signs elsewhere we have a year to prep one of cole, Laurie or Schneider, they all have different strengths. To me cole would be most likely, Laurie had some nice games at six for the tigers.

I think Cleary showed in the weeks without Luai at the end of the year that he can play a role (and excel) in situations where the traditional 6 and 7 roles are fluid.

I’d love to see more of that even if (as I hope will but fear won’t happen) Luai stays longer term because I think Luai would be a better player if he gets more early ball and straightened up more often.

The Thurston Cronk halves combo at Origin was great at swapping between first and second receiver.

That level of combo in the halves would be a cheat code at club level.

If he has, it’s been before he played cup.

He’s not really ball runner, he’s a distributing half, much like Sullivan. He’s a decent defender too.

I watched him play at a school tournament and he was definitely the 7. He was also the best player in the comp.

Look I'm entitled to MY opinion, as you are to yours.
Yes we know you are entitled to your opinion, it's your standard answer when someone disagrees with you.

This is a forum, everyone is stating their opinion, that's what forums are. Forums are also a vehicle for debate and that's what's going on here, everyone is discussing and debating THEIR opinions.

Stop taking other people's opinions so personally.

So this has settled down and you have decided to lecture me? Well done

I am not taking other people's opinions about myself personally. I never he ave, and I never will. No it's not my standard answer.

Thanks for stating the obvious. I'm fully aware in the role of this platform. Well done

I think he will go and I honestly think the club doesn't care, because of the talent we have and amount of money that can go in to retaining other players. People think May won't go anywhere, but I bet the Dogs and Chickens will came knocking.
