Lots of hype and comment pre season about ensuring Luciano's signature... Can anyone tell me how he has been going form wise? With Packer apparently leaving (which is such a shame) we need some size and aggression to fill the void...

He was very promising and skillful but not an intimidating type like Packer.....I still think he has potential to be a gun but is kind of not on the radar at the moment...

FFS give him time .I have always said this lad will need a season or two in reserves before he is ready. Hame Sele is an example. Patience please.

His defence is improving and needs to improve more.
He is playing longer minutes.
Definitely needs more mentality tough.
What do you think.

I think he's just a victim of the success of those ahead of him. I'm sure if Thompson, Sims or JDB weren't having such a good year he's be in line for a spot in 1sts. He's a very talented kid with skills similar to say Wade Graham or Cartwright, that is a very handy ball playing second rower. He's coming along nicely and doing good things in reserves, no need to rush him while we have such a great pack ahead of him - actually might work in his favour. Our depth this year in the forwards is excellent.

Totally agree with kit 66next year Luciano will be much much better .also don't forget boys Packer,Dugan, and anybody else who leaves they will help us to make a charge so let's not get too negative and kiss some ass before they leave

If he is smart enough and has the talent and skill, he would see that Packer moving on (if true) would be a great opportunity for him to cement himself in FG from next year??

Can't ever see him being a prop. No mongrel in him. To be honest, he looks like one of those kids with plenty of skill but too fat and lazy to reach his potential. He's only young so hopefully the trainers flog the f**kc out of him next pre season and he becomes better for it.

His career is in his hands

Its all about attitude and commitment

Luc could be anything or just another kid who could have made it in the NRL.

Definitely worth punting on. Very few forwards have his silky hands and footwork.

Honestly haven't followed him closely this year dragonssamy61 but from the stints I saw of him in FG last year he looked hard to stop and skillful too....

In my opinion looks a player who dominated age-footy due to size. Doesn't look to enjoy the tough stuff. There's no incentive to pick a big guy like that over a Sims/JDB when they're faster, fitter and harder. Needs a lot of work off the paddock in my opinion.

Well according to Nathan Ryan's Foxsports article today, Luch is still in demand from the same clubs chasing him last year & may depart before 30 June if RedV allow. Where there's smoke there's usually fire!!

HUSH, HUSH

It was only a few months back Luciano Leilua re-signed with the Dragons but could he be on the move?

We’re hearing the clubs interested in the backrower before he inked his new deal are still keen on the youngster. Leilua hasn’t been able to push his way into the NRL side and rival clubs have noticed.

There’s no guarantee the Red V would release Leilua but as the June 30 transfer deadline approaches, you couldn’t blame a rival outfit for asking the question.

If he stays with NSW Cup I believe it will be of great benefit to him next year.I believe that the club are bringing him along slowly .

He is a player with great potential however, he may be a dollar chaser just like Bird. I'd say don't release him unless there is something in it for the Dragons. Maybe a deal with the Dogs over Graham on a two year contract could be the go.
